? Only Anderson and Rashad have scheduled opponents, and since Anderson fights next week and Shoguns out till 2011 I think they're viable options.

Ok here we go, everybody says wait wait he is too young,, if he would fight shogun he would get smashed, machida is too good for him, give him another year or two.. IMO this is bullshit, so far he didnt show any weaknesses (besides maybe cardio in the bonnar fight). If I was Joe Silva i would give him a number one contender fight. Also i dont think Franklin would give him a good fight. I mean look at the size, reach and speed...

Anderson gotta fight belfort after sonnen so No. And griffin and franklin might fight each other at ufc 123 + Dana said it will take at least one year for jones to get a title shot.

T silva pulled out of his last fight with a back injury and franklin's arm should be coming along well on the healing. i think it should be franklin as he is top competition and open. back injuries take longer to come back from than arm breaks.

im gonna have to go with Rashad on this one, I think a win over Evans would put him at number one contender for sure. If that doesnt happen I would like to see em fight Thiago Silva just to see my two favorite fighters go at it.

You cant just throw him a title shot like that. You have to build his career and dont throw with Anderson Silva

I dont think he should be in there with Rashad but Anderson in LHW isn't ranked within the title picture so I think Bones vs Silva wouldn't be too ridiculous.

He isn't going to fight Rashad. When Dana said top 8, the first name that came to mind for me was Thiago Silva. I think Bones would run through him. But I don't agree with putting him in a title match. That is a lot of pressure for someone who is just now starting to enjoy the spotlight. So what I think they should do is give him a 6-8 ranked fighter, then if he wins, give him a #1 contender fight. That would take around 9 or 10 months to do, so it would be between a year and a year and a half, so that seems like the road he is going on
