"Lyoto (Machida) is a pretty crafty guy, but I believe I'm pretty crafty as well. Everyone keeps asking me, 'How are you going to figure out this tough puzzle?' My answer to that is that I feel as if I'm a pretty tough puzzle to figure out. So, I really just need to focus on what I need to do to win the fight and let everything take care of it's self.
When you look at guys like Georges St. Pierre and Anderson Silva, guys who have defended their belt nine times, six times, stuff like that, these guys are awesome. They've accomplished so much. So, right now I'm moving on a pretty fast pace, but I won't be satisfied until I'm the best."

i kinda dont see machida beatin him. his extreme reach advantage will help alot. i think he'll jus chop machidas legs away with leg kicks and then pick him apart or take him down in later rounds when his legs are gone. machida can still catch him with his karate style, but he dosnt have much momentum behind him with only 1 win and his chin is questionable if he gets caught cleanly. ill guess jones by decision.
Machidas style gives him the greatest reach in MMA. I don't think Jon's reach will play an advantage here. If Jon goes out there and goes for the kill from bell to bell, he will win. But if he lets Machida use the AWP from afar, then it will be a long night.
I doubt Jones will go to a dec, this man is walking destruction. He will merc Lyoto. BTW I love this fight though Machida is the one guy I wanted see Jones fight at LHW
You know that it was machidas temple that got hit in that fight and not his chin right? Machidas confidence is in question abit, i'd like to see him return as champion
This fight should be intresting...I have a feeling its gonna be either really exciting or really boring...
Shut up Meg
Go Machida! I thought that Evans was fighting for the title. But I'd rather see Lyoto fight him, and I'd hope that he'd win decisively. That should be an exciting fight.
Jones....soo c0cky
hehe jk
swagger jacker!
Jones is a big LHW but he is young, perhaps he will move up in weight later in his career like Overeem did ( in case you don't know overeem fought at LHW for years ). and if you want to complain about someone who cuts a lot of weight try talking about anderson silva, he walks around at 220 but fights at 185. so by your thinking he should be fighting at 205, i say if a guy can cut that much weight and still dominate let him .
I like Machida and I am excited for this fight, but how he got a title shot after two losses and one win baffles me.
The other thing that baffles me is why so many people are still going on about Machida's style...sure it is unique but he has been beaten by people (Shogun and Rampage) that have a very traditional games.
Jones will have his figured out I am sure.
You sound like a child. He weighs in at the same weight everyone else in his division...Do you want them to start classifying fighters on reach and height now?
Besides your logic would apply to a lot of fighters including Anderson Silva.
Jon*
They should do weigh-ins amateur wrestling style, the day of the fights. This way we will know who is who in their true weight classes.
If guys beat people in their own weight class too easily they should be forced to put themselves in positions to lose...
Unless they are GSP ofcourse, even though he walked into the cage at 194 while silva weighed 191 in his last fight.
Someone comes up with a rational argument against the drivel you posted and you call them a retard and moron? Better look up "hater" in the dictionary.
That wasn't all that rational. Like 99% of the people who talk about weight when they want to hate on someone i guarantee he doesn't know what hes talking about.
Many many fighters in 185 are visibly bigger than anderson yet buddy brought him up, and jones is
I weaked myself...accidental postage
*embarrassed face*
Like who?
Jones better work on his karate!
Jones betta keep his weight here and avoid Dos Santos hands for as long as he can.
The difference here is that Machida is an elisive, fast Premier striker. Hammi (not a striker) Bade r( Wrestler with power but not fast), Matushenko (Old as hell striker). Rampage ( wrestler turned brawler with no speed).
Jones chin has never been tested with power and speed at the top ten level. I give machida a great chance at an upset but think the creativityand reach will prove too much. Unanimous decision Jones
