Jon Fitch clueless regarding lack of title shotPosted on November 28, 2011, 06:47 PM by Trent Reinsmith
Jon Fitch has a career record of 23-3-1-1, with his last loss coming to UFC Welterweight Champion George St. Pierre at UFC 87. That loss, a five round unanimous decision defeat that garnered Fight of the Night honors, occurred on August 8, 2008. Since then, Fitch has gone 5-0-1, going the distance in each of his fights, will maintaining his ranking as the number one contender in the welterweight division.
With that in mind, one would think that Fitch would have, at the very least heard his name mentioned as a possible opponent for St. Pierre in an upcoming bout. However, that has not occurred, a fact that has left Fitch somewhat perplexed, “I have no idea what’s expected of me to get the title shots. No one’s ever come to me and said they don’t like what I’m doing or I need to do more of something else. I’m utterly and completely clueless in that regard.” – for more see MMAWeekly.com.
What do you think LowKick’ers; does the UFC owe Fitch an explanation as to why he has been denied a rematch with St. Pierre?
