fitch deserves a title shot. and frm what i heard dana isnt gonna hesitate to put the kos-fitch match up together. i am going to hate to see kos fighting fitch.

but if thiis fight fight happens, i expect to see machida-silva. i cant think of any other teammate match ups right now. oh and mike pierce vs rick story gonna be cool.

so dana: dont be a **** and make one but not the other!

Problem is that Fitch dont want to fight Kos. So even if Koscheck win the title and dana give fitch a shot, he said he would go up to 185.

i dont think jon fitch will be successful there. he might as well keep on cleaning out the division at 170. me being a huge kos fan i dnot want to see the kos vs fitch match. dana dont care what jon fitch says. look at jon fitch post fight 117.

Fitch should be looking to fight the winner of GSP / Koscheck, not the winner of Kampmann / Shields.

As to Kampmann or Shields - he'll beat Kampmann, he will lose (handily) to Shields; on the ground.

Probably true- he already lost this grappling match to Shields: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKTgWUYsNB8

Shields is better on the ground so maybe we would get to see Fitch try to stand with someone finally? I think he does have better standup than Shields.

This fight could easily happen. Dana doesn't want to give Fitch a title shot and there's not really anyone else worthy of fighting him right now.

    @ mousasi

Fitch definitely has better stand-up, but he won't be able to keep it there; I don't think. And yes, I think he's going to want to keep it on the feet. I don't think he wants anything to do with Shields on the ground. Only guy in the division that could probably handle JS ond the ground is The Champ; a given, IMO.

...and Fitch has to get over this...I won't fight Koscheck, crap. If he can't get over that, then he needs to move to 185; and get killed.

And how long ago is that video from?? it proves nothing about the fighters they are today. Look at who Fitch has fought and DOMINATED, and look at who sheilds has beat. the people who are sayin fitch would definitely lose have no grounds to say that. imo fitch would win the fight even though he deserves a title shot instead

I dont know about HEmm0, but i found that match to be pretty good. A few awesome standup exchanges and some solid wrestling and jitz portayed by Fitch.

To be honest, i'm getting sick of these ****ing pussies and wwe fans who boo when it goes to the ground. Dont get me wrong, i dont like how fitch is too conservative when it comes to going for submissions, and i love solid stand up and K1. But this is mma, and if you dont love grappling, dont watch it.

Fitch is NOT like some wrestlers out there who just lays on you and goes for takedowns and the end of the round just to score. He improves position and takes the back as well as landing some solid ground and pound.

The whole fight for me. I like that he had better standup and better groundwork than alves. No finish again but better record than maynard.

Dude, the only reason people complain when it goes to the ground is when they never try to finish the fight and are just holding and controling the opponent because it's f*cking boring. It's not the same when a fighter takes the guy to the ground like Aldo just did in his last fight and punches the crap out of them. That's the difference between a fighter like Fitch and a fighter like Aldo. Fitch is probably more boring to watch then even Mayweather....

Fitch is always working in his fights, please go rewatch his fights (if you can). I have seen him go all out for subs but has found some good resistance just like GSP has of late as well.

Did he mean he wants to hold him on the ground or does he really want to fight.

How about you get the loser of GSP/Kos.

No, you say? That's because you know what the outcome is going to be.

It doesn't look like Fitch will be getting his wish. According to Dana White, if Shields beats Kampmann, Shields will get a title shot against the winner of GSp vs Kos.

    http://mmajunkie.com/news/20985/ufc-boss-says-jake-shields-probably-in-line-for-title-shot-with-ufc-121-win.mma

It's doesn't help Fitch when he tells the national media, while White is present, that he will step up in weight class rather than fight teammate Kos ...if Kos were to beat GSP. It also doesn't help Fitch to be known as a fighter who can't finish an opponent. To add to that, many people wouldn't be looking forward to a GSP vs Fitch II.

...and I am a Fitch fan.

Sugar coat what? Are you just a fan of some areas of mma? If you like Jon Fitch you like his style. I love watching him frustrate his opponents to death. I like watching anacondas kill something on a nature film as much as I love watching a leopard do it's thing like a wide open chainsaw. I am a fan because i like who Jon fitch is and I see his attempts to finish all the time, He just hasn't been able to get the final touch and i am sure it will happen soon. I believe in JF!

Oh I see you stop believeing in someones ability when you get older because thats maturity. What have I not been honest about? I have been honest in that I actually enjoy watching him and if I didn't I would probably be talking about how he is boring but to me he is not. I am a fan of what JF does and obviously you want JF to be like another fighter. Your reaching too hard when you try and call me out for believing in JF as if it's an imature or fairytale hope. As if you don't believe in certain fighters.lol. Tell me what astonishing intellect gave you analogy criteria for JF and a unicorn?

Yeah I caught that. And yes you are wasteing your time here. I was being very honest in my belief he does a great job in MMA and this was where you were in disagreement with me as you feel he is not keeping his worth for the fans to which I say he is or else you're a fan of somebody else. I think keeping the faith is what is funny about your opinion. I echo, ''keep the faith brother''.
