Jon Fitch: "I think im better then jake shields, i should be fighting for the title"

Jon Fitch was speaking in Austrailia about the UFCs welterweight title picture, and me made it pretty clear who he thinks the number 1 conetender is. But instead of thinking about the welterweight title picture Mr.Fitch needs to be focused on a very game opponent in The Prodigy.

"i think i'm better than Jake, i think i should be fighting for the title, but ive been given a huge oppurtunity here to fight B.J. Penn and thats a big fight, belt or no belt."

"We're in a sport of selling fights right now, and the sport's growing, we're trying to get international, trying to get into every country, every househood, and part of that is ticket sales and the idea that jake shields is coming over from strikeforce with two belts. I understand that it's a business decision.

I feel if i can put in a fantastic performace with B.J there's no denying a title shot"

Got to agree with Fitch here. Dont think he will beat GSP but i think he would beat Shields. Lets see if he can beat Penn. Im thinking he might be you never know what BJ is coming to fight.

I hope BJ beats him because he has a better chance against GSP than Fitch. I still think BJ would lose to GSP but you never know what BJ has in his pocket.

GSP put such a beating on BJ last time he couldn't continue. Fitch has by far the better chance. he will beat BJ anyhow.

I can't really see BJ winning this fight. He's great technically. But Fitch has a way of breaking opponents, the only person he didn't break is GSP. It's no surprised but i'm picking Fitch either by decision/(T)KO in the 4th/or corner stoppage from BJ.

i don't know anything. koscheck fought GSP before fitch, the first time, so it makes sense that he got the rematch first. but dana doesn't like fitch because he thinks he's a boring lay and pray wrestler. kos did the only smart thing in his life (don't get mad, i like kos, but come on, gsp outsmarted him every way possible) and touted himself as a big striker. that tricked dana into giving kos the rematch and he even goes so far as to say he respects kos and kos has transformed into a complete fighter. come fight time it's obvious kos is still a wrestler with one striking option, but no matter, his big talk tricked dana into giving him the fight. fitch doesn't play games he just is what he is and since he wins, that should be enough but it's not enough for dana. dana going to punish him a bit longer by giving the next fight to shields. shields arguably is just as boring as fitch, but at least he gives those cute little pillow fists when he's on top, to make him look like he's exciting (i do think shields' grappling is exciting but i bet dana doesn't). shields is awesome but he'll lose to gsp and then dana will say something hurtful about him being boring and finally fitch will get his second shot at gsp. fitch will battle like a warrior but will lose. then fitch and shields will fight and fitch will beat shields in the most boring fight you've ever seen in your life (i like exciting grappling but this one will suck). fitch won't be happy he lost to gsp but he'll be happy he finally proved to dana he should have gotten the gsp fight before shields did. then gsp will go up to fight anderson silva. he'll bulk above, lose a bit of his speed and still not be as strong as silva. silva will win and gsp will be too bulky to go back down to ww. then we'll all wonder why dana gave silva to gsp before he warmed up against other mortal MW's (e.g., when silva went up to test LH waters he got tough guys but not the champdidn't get the champ). gsp not used to losing will lose his newfound confidence and will be lost in the world and go back to being bullied by guys like kos. it will be sad, but not as sad as my life because i just spent 10 minutes writing this. i still don't know anything

That was one of the best posts i've seen lately. You're just throwing what you think out there and you're not taking yourself seriously and acting like you know everything. Plus I pretty much agreed with all your analysis. Keep it up.

agree with most of it until the end. GSp will probably never fight Silva, and will win if he does fight him. Even if he lost, he reacts brilliantly. Look at his reaction to getting caught by Serra!! no fighter has ever adapted style and gameplans like GSP does. he is the smartest fighter out there, and probably one of the most determined also.
