He really needs to do some research if he dosent know Tito Ortiz the longest reigning LHW champ in the UFC. He clearly has no respect for the other aspects of the game. That being said he sounds stupid enough to be serious about fighting anyone one of many mistakes im sure he will make in this Train wreck waiting to happen.

personally i like all his smack talk, it'll make it that much more satisfying watching him lose, even more so if he loses in the stand up and gets knocked out.

Brain damage or not, i dont doubt he can knock out any fighter in the ufc, i dont think anyone would be very confident in standing and tradeing with him. the guy can fight, and anyone who says he has no chance has never seen him fight!

James "Lights Out " Toney is big in the boxing world so if you haven't heard of him you need to get off of MMa's nuts. I love MMA but this guys striking is light years ahead of any1 in the UFC. I would like to see him go up against a top fighter just to see were he is in his MMA development and with a trainer like Juanito you better expect he's gonna be ready for anything.

He wants the money and attention and a big excuse when he looses. He thinks that an mma guy will try to test his stand up skills to prove something and get caught. If he looses he'll call his opponent a pussy or a fag for not fighting and putting him on the ground. Anyway its bad for mma.

he aint gunna make it. Hes gunna be the next Mirco cause hes makin all this hype but he aint no where near the lvl of skill the mma fighters put oout. He knows how to punch......and thats it. Hes gunna get slammed/choked/or kicked in the fn head and then he might have a lil more respect for mma and hopefully other competitors fromn diff sports can hve some as well.

eeeeasy judas, i was only comparing the style of brocks ground and pound. If you watch him in the couture fight, his punches are fast, and he only brings them back a little bit. So i think he looks like a rabbit when throwing them. not slagging the guy, im lesnars biggest fan and think he would kill fedor (sorry to all the fedor nut huggers, please dont start a hate compaign on this page like you have done with all the others). so to sum up, sorry for using an incorrect term judas....

Wow, I knew this guy wanted to fight in the UFC but I didn't realize that he was possibly mentally retarded. At this point I don't care who he fights all I know is that he needs to have his opponent pick him up and slam him on his head and then he will truly realize that all those years of boxing don't make him a grappler.

It takes arrogance to the point of delusion to fight as many fights as he has and continue to have the confidence to climb into the ring. The reason he has done so well is illustrated in the line that Mike Tyson yelled at Bob Sapp when Sapp called him out from the ring. Tyson yelled out: "any time - Marquis of Queensbury rules". That's what Toney doesn't realize - there wont be no Marquis of Queensbury rules...i.e. he's a deadman.

All the crap Toney is taking, you have to give him credit. He knows it won't be easy for him, and he's asking to fight the best opponents that they're willing to offer him. Every fighter with any dignity at all should be that way. Asking for the strongest possible competition... I can think of a couple who don't have that same motivation.

Ignoring Toney’s non-existent MMA resume, he naturally fights around 210 lbs. which would put him at a severe disadvantage were he to step inside the octagon against any top UFC heavyweight, never mind Lesnar who tends to show up well north of 280lbs. on fight night.

Yeah, it was a ridiculous statement... The very nature of MMA is that the fighters are multidimensional. The very nature of boxing is that the fighters are one-dimensional. He can punch, that's it. Fedor would break his arm off, and Lesnar would get his first submission as well.

All these punch-drunk guys really are evidence that MMA is the more civilized sport. People see scalp cuts and ground-and-pound and think it's just shockingly violent... But you won't ever see an MMA fighter turn out like Ali.

How many boxing matches have you seen end without a single significant blow to the head landed? It happens all the time in MMA.

Also, MMA fighters who are intelligent have an advantage. Any illiterate goon can learn to throw a punch. An intelligent MMA fighter can use his mind to beat his opponent through strategy. Boxing is just... Punch him and don't get punched.

If I am Dana White, I don`t want to take chances in making the UFC look bad. Therefore I put a top representative in the cage with Toney. If Tony knocks out a washed up fighter like Mercer did with Tim Sylvia; do you think the media is going to mention that the fighter was "washed up"? No they are going to report that :Boxing champ KO`s MMA Champ. The problem with Toney, is that he is 41 years old and washed up himself. If he loses, people will say that he is old, and if he was in his prime he would have done such and such...blah,blah,blah. If he wins then MMA takes a blow to its credibility. People will say, how can an old washed up boxer just come in MMA, with all these elite fighters and black belts, and just win.MMA needs to stop setting precedents with these old dudes like Herschel Walker, Canseco, Morton, and now Toney. If they want to fight, give them a descent fighter. These types fought in the early days of UFC remember? You had a wrestler vs boxer or karate vs judo etc. MMA is the evolution of fighting, therefore someone claiming one style; in this case boxing is and should be at a serious disadvantage. To prove this, MMA needs to send a well rounded MMA fighter to demonstrate this fact.
