Jake Ellenberger: I'll prove I'm one of the best in the world against Diego Sanchez

Top Welterweight contender Jake Ellenberger, who meets Diego Sanchez at UFC on Fuel TV 1, discusses his opponent, as well as his training and preparation for the bout. Ellenberger acknowledges the challenge that Sanchez will present, but says that he is confident he will prove himself to be among the best Welterweights in the world.

"I've got to consistently prove that I'm one of the best in the world, and Diego brings a whole new set of issues for me to address. His conditioning and shape has always been top notch, so I'm excited for this match-up. It's a good test for me, and I think it's another fight that I can't prove I'm one of the best in the world. It's definitely going to be an exciting fight - to say the least.

It's motivating (to see Carlos Condit get a title shot), to be honest. The only way I can look at it is in a positive light. Whether I think I won the fight or night, I came up short that night. It's motivating for me to work harder and prove that I can get there. I have no doubt, this year - maybe not this year, maybe not next year, but I'll get there - that world title fight. So, for me it's one fight at a time, and continue growing and evolving."
