@ Micheal - say what you want, in wrestling if you avoid fighting you get penalised, in boxing when you keep turning your back deliberately you get warned. Just saying - I don't want to see fighters literally run away from the fight. If the fight gonna look like this people want watch it and then it will be you and your buddies sitting in the caves watching "true" mma. I've never seen Randy, Wand, Crocop, Alister, GSP, Junior, Jose doing this. But hey Condit is a natural born killer - he knows what he's doing right :D ? Makes me laugh. To hell that fight made boring Fitch fights look more interesting and I thought they were the absolute apex of - more tactics less fighting.

all condit did was get the fight back to the center of the cage. he didn't turn around and run away on his way back to the cage hit kept ladning shots on diaz's face. the only people who say he ran away are butt hurt diaz fans who wanted to see diaz vs gsp. sorry diaz just wasnt good enough

I suppose if he was a total retard, he could have stood with his back to the cage and hoped he knocked Diaz out before Diaz knocked him out--but that would certainly take the 'Art' out of MMA and turned it into Unmixed Martial Brawl--or UMB, as I like to call it.



Occasional brawls are entertaining, but brains very often beats brawn in MMA, and that is why I like this sport.

That's right, I mean as a fan, it's very entertaining for me watching like a "Rocky" Type of fight. But if you have a goal of getting the belt, would you care for the fans only? I mean it's very stupid to go for a back and forth punching fest with Diaz with a history of Iron Chin, high endurance and his punches come from different angles. If you know you can't win on Diazs' fight, why would you still fight his fight? If it's just to please the fans, what would be the purpose of coaches? It's like jumping into a pool of sharks and you know they will eat you, but still you jump on that pool. It's that simple.

With that being said, his offense was still very ineffective, as was Diazs'.

It's so funny to me when people talk about Condits Tactics while Diaz had at lease 4 rounds to change his game plan. Honestly if Condit went toe to toe with Diaz, Diaz would be the interim champion right now. If you watch that fight again Diaz just stubbornly stuck to his fight plan it seems like he had no plan "B". Seriously what did Diaz do to adjust in that fight? Clearly he was able to take Condit down on the 5th round why didn't Diaz go for more take downs? Condit won not because he caused damage or the leg kicks, No Condit won because he fought a smart fight hit without getting hit is this tactic exiting and entertaining? no i don't think so BUT I'm not the one in the octagon/ring taking a beating why would a fighter get in the octagon/ring and say "Yeah I'm here to get my brains scrambled as long as you guys are entertained"
