Posted on March 29, 2012, 09:24 AM by Anton GurevichLegendary MMA coach Greg Jackson spoke about a host of topics with sportsnet.ca's Joe Ferraro, including the future of Jon Jones as one of the top Pound-for-Pound fighters on the planet. Jackson related to the reigning UFC Welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre, claiming that Jon Jon follows the example of the French-Canadian, and definitely has the required attributes to become the best fighter on the planet. War Gaidojutsu!
I still can't stand him.
me either .
MMA trainer in Russia are better, cause they dont do as many strategy , they just make their fighter train hard and go to war with the killing instincT ! No gameplan ,they fight on the moment ,they swing with big punches and kicks and then maybe if one guy is getting beaten ,he ll go for the take down (with a good reason) but they never try to take you down and lay on you like american greg jackson's fighters. Watch a full M1 global show you ll see real fights ! MAybe less skills but a lot more entertaining than a lot of fights in the UFC
Wrong headline.
He never said "Georges St. Pierre leads the way for Jon Jones to become the best". He simply answered to the, slightly naive, question: "Who is the best you have ever trained", that Georges leads the way, and said the others, like Condit and Jones, hasn't been tested yet and that the others look up to them.
*looks up to him.
Yeah cmon Anton...this is not the 1st time you are mixing opinion with fact.......bad headline :-\
This is the mixedmartialarts.com headline: "Jackson: GSP passed, Jones still being tested"
Jackson is just happy he has a fighter that can finish lol....and thats more about Jones than Jackson.
Jackson has a stable of Champions at the moment. But he can't keep his team there for long. It's all gonna start falling apart once Rashad takes the strap from Bones.
Haha this guy....really Evans huh....Lets recap Evan vs Machida KTFO!....Machida vs Jones....Machida put some strikes on Jones those same strikes dropped Evans...hmm? Machida was doing good but just couldnt keep from his reach and inevitability got caught with that elbow unfortunatly cause him to get choked out....what does evans have to offer? nothing he'll get dealt too I can't believe anyone is even thinking he's a ligimate threat other than having a punchers chance hes gotta get through first
I say the same thing every time Bones fights. Don't take it personal. Just not a fan of Bones. Are you his favorites or something?
Don't see why Jackson gets so much hate, he is a super humble guy and takes massive respnsibility when one of his fighters loses (unlike Javier Mendez).
He also may be the best head coach and strategist the MMA world has seen yet.
i feel bad saying this, cause condit is juan of my favorite fighters, but theres' something about jackson's camp i just don't trust
jones is fake, gsp's obvious greasing which created a new rule basically, and marquardt's potential greasing.
i'm aware some of you might weak this, and i'm ok with that. i mean, none of this is carved in stone fact, i'm simply saying i've seen a lot of fishy things with that camp, but they do produce winners and many great fighters.
