I think Maynard will take this one this time as long as he works on his wrestling and actually take Edgar down cause in the last fight he wasnt able to take him down at all that was the main reason he lost round 24n5
Great interview, man. I really like Grey; always have. He's a great fighter and a really decent fellow; quite self-effacing and no hint of an ego.
I look forward to the re-match. I picked GM to win in the last match, even though I'm also a big fan of Frankie Edgar; also, an exceptionally nice guy and great fighter.
In some ways it's a curse when you have two fighters that you like fighting, but it's also a joy, too. I'm sure the next fight will be as entertaining as the last. And regardless of who is declared the victor, to me, it won't matter; they're both great fighters and worthy of being called The Champ.
That was the first good interview with Gray Maynard that I have seen. Usually Maynard is "yep", "nope" and you don't see much of his personality, but obviously the roller-coaster down and up ended up showing his real side for a change.
Let's face it, both Maynard and Edgar are great fighters, but both were under the cloud of 'boring' by some fans for their fighting styles. The last fight was so exciting, it changed a lot of minds.
Maynard should open up like that more often, I definitely like him more and have more respect for him after this interview.
