Yeah i thought Diaz did more in that fight also Maynard is the most one dimensional fighter to get a title shot a 155 i think Maynard might get cut if he ruins the main event to make an example of boring fighters who lay and sit and hold till the match is over
Maynard and edgar are both superb fighters. I don't care what anyone says about their styles, (i even find Maynard a bit boring myself at times), they are world class mma fighters and their fight will be among 2 of the top ten fighters on the planet right now. anyone who cannot appreciate that is not a mma fan.

Look @ Gray's record, other than his first official UFC fight, he has had 7 straight decisions. 7!! Jake has finished 7 of his last 10 (6 subs & 1 TKO), and is always looking to finish. He cut 20 lbs. in one day against Kampmann, or he would have finished him too.
Gray should have lost to Nate, and will to make no mistakes to beat Frankie!! Not sure where you got that he is a great guy??
ok you have a point maby that was wrong to shitting on jake but i have seen jake shields last 3 fights and they where so boring that i fall asleep so i forgot hes past performances. Everyone says that maynards interviews is just as boring as his fights and i disagree i think maynard is a really cool guy he dosent talk shit and he only says good things about his opponents.
I feel ya man, I really like Jake and the whole Gracie fight team but I agree that his last few performances have been boring. He deserves props for getting almost KOed by Henderson and surviving. I like watching Maynard, but can see how fight fans in general can find both of those fighters boring. I truly believe 2010 has been the year of wrestling, and people want to see knockouts. Maynard can get the win, he is naturally bigger. Shields may seem boring, but if GSP can't finish it standing, he may get upset on the ground.

Gray Maynard well rounded great personality and especially a calm guy for a big thing. I personal think he will pulls off this fight ,just looking at his skills and strategy.imo
im a huge edgar fan and won alot of money of my friends by betting on him in both bj fights but the bully is goin to bully him in my opinion cant see edgar getting past the strength advantage grey has ( sherk could have used that advantage too but i think hes been hynotised into thinking hes a boxer these days)

I'd say the word "beating" is a bit of a stretch. "Taking a nap on them and safely securing a win" is more appropriate.
