"The Fireball Kid" Takanori Gomi, Charles Oliveira, Brian Stann and Mike Massenzio won the hefty 40,000-dollar bonuses for their performance at UFC's second card on the Versus channel.
Takanori Gomi managed to save his spot as one of the top Lightweights in the UFC, with an impressive ""Knockout of the Night" victory over Tyson Griffin, in just 64 seconds. "The Fireball Kid" successfully bounced back from his defeat against Kenny Florian at Fight Night 21, and will surely continue his way inside the Octagon. Takanori Gomi was the only bonus winner from the main card.
"Submission of the Night" bonus went to the UFC newcomer Charles Oliveira. The Brazilian managed to impress San Diego fans with a quickly submission victory over Darren Elkins. Oliveira locked a tight Triangle Choke, that forced his opponent to tap out after just 40 seconds into the fight. Brian Stann and Mike Massenzio earned the "Fight of the Night" bonus for their Preliminary Card efforts.
Ultimate Fighting Championship will return to action in just five days, with the long anticipated UFC 117 in Oakland, California. The night will be headlined by Anderson Silva's UFC Middleweight title defense against the mind-games expert Chael Sonnen.
