Last Saturday night, from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, top Welterweight contenders Carlos Condit and Nick Diaz went head to head for the 170-pound interim title and a shot at reigning division champion Georges St. Pierre.

Cageside for the UFC 143 main event, which saw Condit emerge victorious via unanimous decision, was St. Pierre himself, who thanks to Fuel TV's "Ultimate Insider" show, was mic'd up to allow fans a firsthand perspective of GSP's reaction to the fight.

Very cool. Interesting that GSP gave Condit that controversial first round.

He didn't want Condit to win, he wanted Diaz to win!!!!!

He's been VERY outspoken about it...

The day after Diaz failed the drug test, GSP probably visited his doctor to apply for a medical marihuana prescription

@GoldenBibi, I thought that the majority of LowKickers agreed that Diaz won but several days after the fight I scanned over the days old comments from the day after the fight and the majority seemed to give a narrow edge to Condit although many didn't like his strategy and would have preferred to see a war.

Many don't know crap about MMA.... What I'm shock of so many Carlos fans now a days...Where were they before this fight... Those people are just Nick Haters that are happy the blind judges gave it to Carlos....They aren't no Carlos fans... Just Nick Haters... I guess they know more then the real MMA fighters of who won the fight.. Nick won round 1,2, and 5... Even Rogan now says Nick won the fight....

With how close the fight actually was you're going to get people scoring the fight differently, it's kind of telling though that the large majority of MMA fighters actually thought Diaz won it. We'll never really know who GSP really wanted to win and why, he could have wanted Nick to win because he genuinely hated him, or because he thought Diaz was the easier fight (in his mind, definately not mine though!) who knows. I think GSP would have employed the same strategy whichever of the two he ended up facing, which would be to take them down, control them and inflict GnP, and against that strategy Diaz would have been the most dangerous opponent imo with his submission skills and all, but.............it just wasn't to be. : (

i had about 10 beers in me the night of the fight, and i am not a diaz fan, but thought he won that night, and argued against the decision myself....then i watched it sober later, and realized, i thought nick won because he just kept pressing forward. fact is, condit evaded and countered, and thats simply smart...yes , we all expected to see 5 rounds of war, non stop punching each other in the face, but when it comes down to it, the smarter fighter realized, he could go toe to toe with nick, and not knock him out, whereas nick would not finish him, and leave it in the hands of the judges with wild punches being thrown, just seeing who lands the most, or....he could dodge and couter, not get hit, and return a hit...and he did just that. condit knew he probably wouldnt ko nick, and nick couldnt ko him most likely, so why just trade punches , accepting being hit, and see who tallies up the most in the end. condit by smart game. although smart game can translate to become boring if that is all you ever do , but we all know carlos comes to fight, and this is just the best way he decided to take this fight and ensure the interim title was his.

    Right on, bro.

But the Diaz fans will hate anyways.

Reason and logic doesn't really work all that well for them...
