Yes, Kampamann was rocked in both fights. The fact that he survived and won against such high competition as Alves and Ellenberger shows you how tough (not how lucky) he is. He's no P4P candidate, but he's a serious contender in the Welterweight division and can beat anyone any given day.......................

I was refering to Condits last performance and many others at welterweight are playin the safe game in order to get the title shot and the title holder has been playin itsafe for a while now. I am still a condit fan and wanted him to beat Diaz but certainly not the way he did. And now everyone wants to wait including Condit for their shot. If you want a real man, look to Urijah Faber who just put his interim belt on the line by calling out a beast unlike every other contender out there lookin back at promising matchups only otherwise they will happily wait.

You're mistaken. Urijah has no Interim belt right now. He is the #1 contender, and the fight against Barao is for the Interim belt. What Urijah is doing is exactly what DIaz and Condit did when GSP went down with an injury.

You're right about the belt thing sorry, I just meant his chance at getting the interim belt was placed in a very hostile place by getting the Barao match up. But Faber has more balls than Condit or anyone else hanging in limbo for a belt shot by calling out Barao and not waiting for the UFC to give him a hopefully easier option. If there is one guy outside the Diaz brothers who fights like a champ in every fight it's Faber.

For Condit, waiting on GSP is a smart decision on at least 2 counts: he's not running any risk in losing to a top contender like Kampmann who beat him before or a dangerous rising star as Hendrix. Let's face it: Condit is evenly matched against top welterweights (Diaz/Ellenberger/Kampmann) and can win or lose in a fight. Secondly, having a crack at the champ will--win or lose--be very rewarding financially; the wait is worth it on that sense. Thirdly, who would forfeit a once-in-a-life-time chance to fight for the belt? Few will do that......................

If you think you can actually win the belt then you shouldnt be worried about losing to anyone that doesn't even have it. If you win you look even tougher and gain some ever important experience, if you lose you still have some work to do and better to find out now then against the champ and need even more time to get another shot.

Points 1&2 definitely make sense but 3.... geez you're not forfeiting the chance to fight for the belt. A fighter expects to win right? A true champion takes on all comers so what is the guy waiting for? He stopped fighting because he got the INTERIM belt??? If he was the real champ or he didn't have any belt at all, he would fight constantly right? Yes he would. Just fight. He's the NBK! What's he's scared of!

Actually, few of GSP's total fights are in Canada. Dana White wants a sure, and big gate--that's one big reason. Also, with a full house going nuts--it looks good on PPV.
