Georges St. Pierre was present at the today’s UFC 143 open workouts and took some time to discuss a multitude of topics including where he stands in his rehab, the type of training that he is moving toward as he recovers from his ACL surgery, surgery that will prevent him from training until July.
St. Pierre also says that he will be rooting for Nick Diaz to defeat Carlos Condit this weekend as Diaz and his trainer, Cesar Gracie have give him motivation to fight him. St. Pierre also heaped a great deal of praise on Diaz, repeating many times over that he is a “very smart,” and that he does “not believe Nick Diaz is a bad human being.”
St. Pierre also says that he has patterned his persona after Wayne Gretzky and that even though he wants to fire back when he is on the receiving end, but that he stands for something bigger than himself.
The two videos present an interesting look at the UFC Welterweight Champion and brings us all up to speed as to what he has been up to since undergoing his knee surgery in December.
