Reigning Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre, who was in attendance for a special press conference in Los Angeles, California, discusses the UFC's deal with the FOX network, as well as his upcoming bout with former Strikeforce champ Nick Diaz. St. Pierre admits that he feels disrespected by Diaz and insists that he has never ducked a fight.

Georges St. Pierre

"I know (Nick Diaz) says that at one point I didn't want to fight him, but the truth is that I am not a coward. I never ducked nobody, I always fought whoever the UFC put in front of me. This fight has a lot of pride involved with it. A lot of things have been said, so I always put everything I've got into it and I'm ready to go... It's one thing losing to a guy that is humble, but a guy that is disrespecting you a little bit is very hard... Yes, (I feel disrespected) maybe a little bit, because I never ducked nobody. I'm ready to fight whoever the UFC puts in front of me. So, I'm ready to go... It's a good match-up for me, I think Diaz is going to bring it to me. It's going to be a good fight - standing up, on the floor, he's very good everywhere. I'm not a coward, like I said, I want to fight the best guy."

I see you changed your profile pic. Much better than the one of you holding the champagne glass like your in a rap video. Now I'll actually read your comments instead of clicking weak based on the picture.

GSP all the way. Unless he makes a mistake, GSP will overpower Diaz and beat him like the rest...GSP's wrestling will be on another level compared to Bad boy, Diaz...

I'm not gunna order this one I like GSP but I think its gunna be a jabbing contest... That being said I think GSP has so manny tools that he's not using in his fights and would be the P4P best overnight if he did if he would take more risks.

I think GSP will eat Diaz, Fitch would provide a tougher test for GSP. Im a fan of Diaz, he comes to fight etc but GSP is on another level.

I don't think Diaz has a better striking game than GSP he's more wild and ballet whereas GSP is more crisp and technically so me personal prediction is GSP picking Diaz apart on the feet whilst mixing it up with takedowns to get Diaz thinking about every move he makes resulting in GSP victory by dominant and IMPRESSIVE UD

You may be right about the outcome but Diaz is a more technical striker than gsp from what we have seen lately. If you are judging his striking based on koshcheck that's a joke. It will be more like bj Penn with cardio. Nick may not have the same Tdd as bj but he has a better mma bjj. This will not be easy for gsp and he will most likely not pick Diaz apart on the feet.

His comments show insecurity and his time in front of the camera and marketing may get in the way too. Diaz stays out of the press and talks smack in the ring which I respect a lot more than the other way around. I don't think what he said is that disrespectful in comparison to gsp past opponents. I think Diaz will take it. Andre ward is actually joining his training camp. Not just sparring for an hour. That is major. He has shields, pulling in many top wrestlers...it's his fight to win. It may be a long shot but I will put my money on Diaz. (a few bucks anyway).

Georges The Safest - Pierre feels disrespected by Nick Diaz, does this mean he will finish Nick if he wins? Hmm unfortunately, he has already visualized a nice decision. Yes, he is just that angry.

Maybe because Nick puts on the most exciting fights you'll see in a long time, while i can take the sum of GSP's wins wrap them in one and it still would not be as exciting as a round under Nick. I'm not saying Nick is a better fighter, but he's way more exciting than GSP at the moment.

From watching Nick Diaz fight, I just can't comprehend how people think he is a technical boxer... ? He throws crazy, sloppy, loopy punches all over...

Because you have to know what it takes to stand in the pocket and beat your opponent. Watch videos of him practice or spar. It is very very difficult to box like him. He throws a lot of strikes and mixes in pitter patter and power shots which is technical boxing. If you don't think so just try it on a heavy bag. He has good head movement great combos.

He has a sloppy looking style because he is taunting his opponents to fight. Ali did it too just on a much higher level. The sloppy style you see is giving his opponents false confidence something is open but of you watch the Daley Diaz exchanges he has beautiful combos. And remember it's in the heat of battle which takes a ton of training.

Excellant observation! The Noons camp called it "Patty Cake", and went into that rematch with a complete and utter disrespect for that "sloppy "style. After the fight KJ looked like the elephant man with that busted, swollen jawline. No disrespect to Noons though because he came to war with Diaz, And they both delivered spectacular performances.

I hate this guy's mentality. Can't stand lay n pray or wall n stall and thats his bread and butter. And listen to that: "I think Diaz is going to bring it to me" not that he's going to bring it to him and take him out. Where is his mind?

I have been waiting for this fight for years. Diaz will be GSP's biggest threat he has faced for all sorts of different reasons.

Diaz is everything dangerous to George's style..

Diaz is just another block in the road to the SUper Fight of GSP vs Anderson SIlva. Dont get me wrong, Diaz is a good fighter and the last real welter-weight threat to GSP. But no one comes more prepared to a fight then GSP...it will be a good 1

I'm a huge GSP fan, but lately I've been pretty bored with his fights. Now I understand that he's fighting really tough, top guys. And I know his eye was scratched and all, but the fight against Shields was probably the most tedious one of UFC 129. It'd be nice to see him push with a little more of that killer instinct he showed before he won the belt, even if it puts a bit of his strategy at risk.

I'll still be rooting for him all the way. If he wins this fight any differently than his last several, I will be both surprised and elated.

Nobody wins every fight forever .. just ask Fedor.

Diaz wild angles and unique pawing style may be something GSP hasn't seen before. Problem for Diaz is GSP is a superb counter-striker and likes to let his opponent push the pace.

I see GSP doing for takedown after boring takedown and trying to use elbows on the ground ... slight chance of a submission more likely a decision.

Everyone has a punchers chance, but I don't think Diaz will beat GSP.

Natural athletic ability you can't teach, and yes all of these guys clearly are freaks in the athletic department, but in the welterweight division, none are at the caliber GSP is.

Diaz telegraphs a lot of his boxing, and I found it humorous to hear that hes chasing a boxing career. I think on the feet GSP holds the edge, and he clearly holds the edge on the ground. Submission game I'll give to Diaz.

So far we have seen weak points in top fighters such as AS, and Aldo. GSP's might be his ability to take heavy punches. Unless Diaz can knockout George, I see a 5 round decision of Mixed Martial Arts displayed.

Should be an exciting fight not only for guys training in the ring. Diaz will bring the heat unlike Shields and I expect both guys will be rough looking at the final bell.

But GSP hasn't fought any tall fighters lately. How will the reach affect the champ? And those punches in bunches with power on some and not others. How does one differentiate what will have power and what won't? This fight will be a barn Burner!
