Georges St. Pierre discusses Rory MacDonald's future as a champion

He believes MacDonald will be champion someday as he gets stronger and better everyday in training. GSP also weighs in on some of the bigger fights in his division such as Josh Koscheck/Jonny Hendricks and Jake Ellenberger/Martin Kampmann. He finalizes the interview by discussing the progress of his rehab and when he will be able to return to the Octagon.

It's a bold thing to predict a future champ but the last time I predicted one it was Bones Jones.
Rory will be champ one day.

What I mean is there are some guys which you just know will be champions. Cain, Jones, Aldo and GSP - everyone knew they were destined to become the champ at one point

how can you not love this guy? a true champ in every sense of the word. it'll be interesting to see how the Rory Mc situation is handled if he keeps winning... GSP v Silva?
I can't agree. Macdonald is good, and I've been talking to him online since 2008 after he blasted Clay French (there's some tooting for ya Hunter!).
However, 170lbs is insane. There is a new top tier wrestler making his way into the division daily, and for Rory to become champ he will have to get though guys like Jake Ellenberger, Condit, Hendricks, and Koscheck. Then you have guys like Askren in other promotions that might make the jump eventually. Then on top of that you have guys like Jordan Burroughs, Andrew Howe, and any other number of high caliber wrestler moving over eventually.
I'll be rooting for him though.
Rory MacDonald is the real deal.
The UFC WW division is a shark tank--but Rory has the skills to be champ in this shark tank.
Guy is awesome as last night showed but he still has some massive hurdles to get over before he gets anywhere near a shot at the belt.
