I don't really see a big advantage on the feet for Hardy, GSP's stand up is pretty good/improving and if he loses the stand up fight GSP can always take the fight to the ground while, if Hardy is losing the stand up fight against GSP he has no backup plan
Hardy has a puncher's chance...But I truly believe that GSP is all around better fighter...If GSP was able to overwhelm Hughes, BJ Penn, and Alves who are great fighters in their own right, how on earth will a kickboxer like Hardy defeat GSP?? I expect Rush to take Hardy, very early on, to the ground, drain his gas tank as he did with Penn, and ground and pound or submit him...Trust me, Hardy won't be as ****y after the fight...
Ben Henderson would be a very good matchup for gsp. Hardy has to hit gsp with a powerfull clean punch and jump on him fast. Faster then Serra. Gsp's power lifting is going to put him on another level.
Yeah, Georges is so good at everything he puts his mind to I think he could out punch Hardy. Georges did very well outpunching BJ in their second fight...but why chance it. Take him down Georges and dominate him like an alpha male pitbull humping a poodle.
So true. Everyone always thinks "This will be the fight that GSP changes his game". But why would he, he can beat everyone in the WW just by takedowns and pounding from the top, so why change what aint broke.
i don't know why gsp keeps remind himself the only moment he looked bad in the octagon,it's in the past, and the beat the living shit out of Serra the second time.so leave that fight in the past.
You should probably take a look at George's record... He has boxed with several great strikers, and beaten them. His record is a laundry list of great opponents who would almost all be able to beat Hardy. Fitch? Penn? Alves? etc. etc.
I like Dan, he's a character, but don't get carried away.
GSP does get hit every now and then, if Hardy's feet and planted right and he hit's george on the button, it's lights out. BJ has better boxing and hit GSP a fair few times, Hardy's boxing isn't as good, but he must have more power in his hands. Not saying that will happen but, none of us KNOW it won't happen. Look at how accurate his punches were to Swick in the first exchange. Hardy's confidence is so high that he can stay calm in very intense striking situations and use it to pick his spot very well.
That being said, I think it will be a miracle if Hardy does pull it off.
What options does he have though? His only chance is to pull a Matt Serra and luck a knock-down. He's a striker, and Georges is the most complete fighter in MMA.
if hardy stops the takedowns, he has a good chance to win. especially if gsp can't take him down for 5 rounds. if gsp get's the takedowns, he will dominate on the ground like always. i think gsp's going to win, but i don't mind seeing a new champion.
u dummies understand diaz girl punches aint worth nuthin n gsp trains with renzo gracie 4 years thats y somebody like him can be champion without KO power boring as it may be
Hardy has not just a puncher's chance but a skilled puncher's chance with other high level MMA attributes but would even his biggest fans predict Hardy dominating most of the fight to a stoppage or TKO? I highly doubt it and this GSP's gonna be even more formidable than ever with improved striking, increased explosiveness and overall power it's impossible to imagine because we've never seen anyone like GSP so how can we imagine an even better version?
Also we know GSP can be knocked out but it's wrong to say he has a weak chin, he got clocked behind the ear. It really messes you up. Someone clashed heads with me there, it ain't nice. But Hardy has the power to rock GSP I'm sure.
And (waffle, waffle) GSP IS an excellent striker with KO power. He put Alves down, blew Jay Hieron away with great punches and he's always improving them. It's just that he prefers to rely on his wrestling as any fighter prefers to rely on their greatest strength. Or he could just risk losing fights just to impress the fans who are only interested in the striking aspect of MMA. I was on the edge of my seat all the way through the Alves fight, I don't know about anyone else.
Hardy on the other hand can't lose here. If he wins he'll astonish the world, but fighting GSP is meeting the best he may ever meet and any other challenge will seem much easier in comparison from then on. He'll walk away a much better fighter who'll hopefully get the chance to knock Koschek's jaw back into place after Daley's rearranged it.

dan should be affraid to enter the octagon with gsp...............
gsp: "i am not afraid to step into the octogon if hardy had a gun"
..afraid...maybe not...but he should bring some degreaser to be safe.
Grease boy again. Hard weekend ah?

hardy doesn't now what hes walking into.hardys not going to c it coming
I actually think Alves is a better striker then Hardy and GSP is a better striker then Alves.
not exactly , Alves is a better striker than Hardy ,
but GSP is not a better striker than alves!
Alves has the perfect muay thay ! great kicks and power i mean a lot of power in his hands just look at the facts of all his KO's
but ofcourse GSP is the better fighter all around!
still that dosent mean Hardy cant knock out gsp is a long shot but it cant happend! hardy hits hard is more heavyhanded than GSP!
but GSP is on his on level! his triking used to be sharp!
i imagine it still is but with the success of his wrestling its just easier.
but just remeber ufc 65 vs highes! jabs , hooks , kicks he has great!
if he train to fight stand up like he train for wrestling
GSP would become the best fighter of all times!
Dude alves is a better striker than both of them and GSP beat him with his wrestling..... GSP will dominate
Ben Henderson would be a very good matchup for gsp. Hardy has to hit gsp with a powerfull clean punch and jump on him fast. Faster then Serra. Gsp's power lifting is going to put him on another level.
I would love to see Ben Henderson fight in ufc.
I'd love to Boink Ben Henderson
Its a badge of honor seeing you try to immulate my presence here.
Perhaps the admin will look into your IP adress and see what other profile you have and pleasantly say goodbye my friend.
Your hate you have for me only hurts you, it wont bother me a bit.
Have a great day bro.
Mind Games!!!
If Dan falls for this its going to be a short night!

GSP is gunna be a ded man if he tries to trade with Hardy. Hardy is a bad dude with his fists.
i hope gsp is gonna trade with him to make all u doubters STFU.
You Fail, get used to it
You need to make smarter decisions if you want to be just like me bro.
GSP will get ktfo if he stands up with Hardy.

it could be pretty funny if hardy's plan is only to catch gsp on the button,it will be the dumbest strategy ever and he will pay for that.
haha Im looking forward to seeing Hardy KO'd on the canvas

GSP: I am not afraid to stand up with Dan Hardy ....... but I was afraid to stand up with Thiago Alves.
