Frankie Edgar looks back on UFC 125 draw, talks Gray Maynard trilogyPosted on April 11, 2011, 12:59 AM by Joey Santosus
UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar, who was in attendance as a cornerman at Ring of Combat 35, looks back on his New Year's day match-up with Gray Maynard and discusses their upcoming rematch at UFC 130. Edgar credits his team for his ability to fight back from near defeat in his last bout with Maynard and says that he expects another exciting contest when they meet again in May.
Edgar's sole career defeat came via unanimous decision against Maynard in 2008. "The Answer" will look for redemption when the two meet for a third time at UFC 130 on May 28th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Lighweight title clash will serve as headliner for the stacked card, while former Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson takes on Matt "The Hammer" Hamill in the co-main event.
