because the UFC has probably the exclusivity on the fighters , and its not worth it to cancel a contract with the ufc (best organisation today) to sign just for one fight at strikeforce .
And if they lose to fedor , dana probably wont take them again in the ufc.

I might not agree with everything Frank says but I love his honesty and it is the right way to go. I'd have loved it had Frank just said the truth about Fedor, the one time he was lying in the interview, Dana must have really laid down the law for what fighters can say about Fedor. Was like a year ago that Mir was saying Fedor was the best in the world.
I mean everyone that knows more MMA then just the UFC knows that Fedor turned down the UFC because of the draconian contracts they want fighters to sign. Fedor values his freedom over money.
