I would have to agree with him.
man mir looks like he a lot bigger then last time
yes striking advantage do you really think Cro Cop plodding forward in straight lines is gonna cut it ?. tell me out the top 5 heavy weights who's striking is technically better than Mir's ? sure Carwin has power but after a few exchanges with Mir he decided to grapple, Brock NO, JDS yes, Cain hmm i'd say they might be even but i wouldn't say his striking is better i mean he chose to grapple Kongo after he got dropped and we all saw what Mir did to Kongo. From what i've seen from both guys recently i have to say Mir is a clear favorite in my eyes but this is based on what i've seen from both men recently. If the Crop Cop from pride shows up that would be great but i haven't seen anything from his last several fights to suggest that he will
I do not think Mir has better stand up than Kongo, I think wath happened is the same thing that happened to A. Silva vs Sonnen and Rampage vs Evans, they were over confident of their stand up skills and tought their opponents did not have a chance standing, if they would have take serious their opponents stand up skills that would never happened...
didn't say his stand up was better than kongos just better or equal to who most people would consider the top 5 heavy weights.Cro Cops actual boxing is very good it's just plodding forward in straight lines is not the best way to implement it imo
i cant wait for this fight. im rooting for both guys, it's like a weird win win situation
+1 On the win win. I really like Frank Mir and how can anyone NOT like "Right leg hospital, Left leg cemetery" Mirko.
Mirko and Wanderlei Silva are two fighters from Old Pride that didn't make you like them any less, even after a loss. Frank Mir, I think is one of the greatest students and practitioners of Martial Arts in MMA period. I would like to see him win more often though. :) Can't wait for the 25th.
How did Cro Cop get that crazy scar on his forehead ?!
Frank will always be one of my favs, just because of the way he conducts himself. he always has confidence in himself and thats a strong trait to possess.
i cant stand this ****ing guy, specially how he tries to act all educated and speak properly and that stuff hes saying now sounds a lot like the shit he was saying befor ehe fought carwin and what happen there? i hope this dude never makes it to the top to fight lesnar again, or maybe i do just so i can see lesnar pound his ass again
lol'ing at this---------->" i cant stand this ****ing guy, specially how he tries to act all educated and speak properly and that stuff"
Yea I hate smart people they make me feel small.
Damn. That was funny- I was wondering if it was tongue in cheek but I think he's serious.
Actually I understand what Daigoro is saying. And i'm plenty intelligent. But it's not the fact that Mir has a vocabulary. It's annoying sometimes that he seems to try and ACT so intelligent. It's like we get it Frank, you have a decent vocab. Sometimes he just uses it in a way that sounds like he's trying to sound a certain way. And that's what daigorow was getting at. I like Frank most of the time. Sometimes he does try a little too hard to sound like he's so much smarter than everyone else.
thank u thats exactly what i was trying to say, and the only perdon that feels small is frank when he sees lesnar coming at him
I think he was too. And that's why they say Mir is arrogant....
frank being frank, what else to say
Your just jealous he out boxed you Noggy!
yeah,but I wasn't out!
mir by brutal submission
mir is gona rip that famous left leg of cro cop right off, i like both guys but this is a miss-match.
I think Mir is in a similar situation as Kenny Florian. They both have the skillset to take the title, but they just can't seem to get it done. I would really like to see him as champ again, as he has always been one of my favorites, but I'm not so sure that will happen with Brock and Shane in the picture. I think he would be a great test for JDS or Cain skill-wise. He may not have the punching power of JDS or the wrestling of Cain, but he outshines them both in every other aspect. That said, I think he might make a mockery of Cro Cop's stand-up. If he can get him down, I believe we see Cro Cop involved in another "Submission of the Night," but this time on the receiving end. Either way, I see this going in Mir's favor.
Except.... Mir has had the title but I see what you are saying. You could be right.
True, Mir was the champ at one time, but I see his current position to be similar to KenFlo's. Both very talented, but not quite able to win the belt. I don't see Mir losing against anybody other than Brock or Carwin, or possible Cain/JDS, though I have been wrong before.
Yea I agree. Sucks for both of them because I really like both of them. KenFlo's loss was really disappointing.
I thought Frank Mir was a ****head, then I saw TUF 8 and I was like oh well he seems like a really cool person. Sure he's got a bit of an ego, but he's not a bad person or anything. He likes to hype his fights and probably himself a bit, too. It's totally normal, right. Look at what Sonnen did, that was crazy. Frank talking a bit of smack never bothered me, I like this guy.
i hope cro cop kicks mir's head off
He has been working his wrestling for Lesnar and Carwin fights, It would be interesting to see how he does against CroCop in the wrestling department.
"right leg to hospital, left leg to cemetery"
Good bye ..MIR!!!
i love Cro Cop and i hope he wins but i can only see this fight going Mirs way
Mir probly has this one in the bag. that being said, Cro cop is still great to watch, and he could surprise us. He is too small tho, he keeps weighing in light enough that he coulda been a LH this whole time. Maybe he just doesn't wanna cut the weight. who knows. maybe his cardio isn't good enough to make a cut like that and recover. Either way, if Cro cop was a bigger guy that'd sure be interesting for the superheavyweights.
