First Signs of the UFC moving to Pay Per View in the UK

The UFC took their first step towards UK fans having to pay a premium at 3am on fight nights to watch the promotions programming after they switched the twelfth season of “The Ultimate Fighter” to Sky Sports.

It was brought to my attention today by a loyal fan that the switch had been made official on the promotions schedule of events, meaning thousands of fans on FreeView are set to miss out this time around. In previous years the reality show has gone out on either Setanta Sports or more recently ESPN, as well as featuring on Five US.

With Sky Sports having their own Pay-Per-View facility, fans in the UK should brace themselves for further disappointment down the road when it comes to the major events in the U.S., as it appears they’ll soon have to make a further contribution to the global dominance of Dana White and his merry bunch of men.
