MMAFighting.com is reporting that a Featherweight bout has been added to the UFC on Fox 4 Card of "Stann vs. Lombard" to be held on August 4, 2012 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, featuring Manny Gamburyan (11-7) and Michihiro Omigawa (13-11).

Both fighters are coming off a string of losses. Gamburyan has lost his last 3 fights and Omigawa has lost 3 out of his last 4 bouts. Gamburyan most recently faced Diego Nunes at UFC 141 in December 2011 where he lost by unanimous decision. Omigawa was last defeated via unanimous decision to Yuri Alcantara at UFC 142 in January 2012.

Both of these fighters need to win to stay viable in the UFC. Unfortunately, at the end of the fight, there can be only one winner. More than likely, the loser of this fight will be cut from the UFC, making this a true Elimination Battle.

Gamburyan dropped from the UFC several years ago after 2 consecutive losses and went to WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting), where he was somewhat successful. When UFC absorbed WEC and its fighters, Gamburyan came back and the last 2 of his 3 losses were under the UFC banner. Prior to that "Manvel the Anvil" was an alumnus of The Ultimate Fighter, where he lost to Nate Diaz.

UFC on Fox 4 will additionally feature Joe Lauzon vs. Terry Etim, Travis Browne vs. Ben Rothwell and Ryan Bader vs. Lyoto Machida.
