Posted on January 11, 2012, 06:22 AM by Anton GurevichFabricio Werdum's return to the Octagon is just around the corner. The Brazilian will face Roy Nelson on the main card of UFC 143, which will take place at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 4th. Werdum went 3-1 since getting cut from the UFC, due to what was then a surprising KO loss to Junior dos Santos. Vai Cavalo's victories came against Fedor Emelianenko, Mike Kyle and Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva, which solidified his status as one of the Top 10 Heavyweights in Mixed Martial Arts.

theres no doubt he belongs in the UFC.. he is one of those guys who is capable of beating some of the best but he also is a little inconsistent..
But it is hard to be consistent against guys like JDS and Overeem.. i think he will do well in the UFC and cause upsets but may lose to the elite HW's which their is no shame in.
I like Werdum. He is such a great guy even though he got lucky against my fav fighter
i am a big fedor fan to, but werdum wasnt lucky!! he was better on the ground against fedor!!!
I like fedor too but, thats the name of the game....MMA!...no excuses,it is what it is.Werdum was jus better that night at what he does
I know that there is no lucky submissions ,nor lucky punches in a fight.
But I ll always refuse to Admit that werdum ,big foot or hendo were the better men, on their fight nights with fedor LOL
Werdum has improved his standup a lot. He will be a tough opponent for any figher including JDS and Cain. He underestimated JDS in thier first fight and got rocked.
I like Werdum, I think he is a nice guy.
Vai Cavalo!
He does belong in the UFC, always has.
Yeah because Werdum has a glass jaw right?
He's fought a lot of savages and only got caught by KO once by the man who KO'd Cain aswell.
Werdum has world class BJJ skills but is also very underated in the clinch and his ground and pound is pretty sick; so I wouldn't underestimate the guy.
I don't think anyone with knowledge believes he doesn't belong. However if he consistently lays on his back against dominant strikers the fans will make sure he doesn't stay very long.
Werdum all the way. He's sick and absolutely belongs in the UFC.
