but i think we both believe the striking of cain will be the difference. That is his weakness and cain must attack with vicious low leg kicks and punch combos early cos brock will go for the take down and he is a mountain to move off top. I said before that brock on top of anyone can win with his size and wrestling but im still picking cain to win.

I can't really make up my mind to who is going to win this fight, it's such an even match up, I think if Cain wins its either going to be a decision or 4/5th round TKO and if Lesnar wins its most likely going to be a TKO round 2/3

cant wait til brock wins and everyone says cain wasnt really that good, but jds will beat him

*the entire time up until the main event of 116*

"Shane Carwins a monster, nobody makes it out of the first round with this guy. Lesnars f****d. One shot from Carwin and lesnar will be out cold."

*the entire time after the main event of 116*

"Shane Carwins so overrated. His shots are so inaccurate. It doesnt matter that those same shiots knocked everybody else out. The fact that they couldnt ko Brock means that he isnt really that strong. Mir was sick when he fought Carwin. So was Kongo, Gonzaga and everybody else he destroyed....but Cain Velasquez is a phenom. He TKO'd out Ben Rothwell. Brock is so boned"

come on, he isn't overhyped, he beat Mir and Carwin both of whom were going to show how "overhyped" brock is

i counter your argument by saying this, if you say brock is overhyped/ over-rated, then i think cain is aswell. It sounds stupid but think of it this way:

    1) cains roots are in wrestling...so are brocks, but brock was/is a far more distingushed wrestler as anyone with any sense will recognise

-so lets call that 1-0 brock

2)cains last fight, a flash knock out over big nog who is past his best (which apparently showcased cains improved striking, ie his development as a fighter)

brocks last fight, a hard fought victory over the wrecking machine shane carwin, ending in a SUBMISSION (surely a sign of improvement and development just as much, if not more, than in cains case)

    -2-0 brock

    3) the fight before that:

-cain tkos ben rothwell without hurting rothwell in the slightest..rothwell gassed so much that he physically couldnt summon the strength to raise his hands, so decided to just let himself get punched by cain...the ref stops it and ben immediately points out that he isnt hurt atall

-ufc 100...need i go into detail about that? complete domination from brock and an excellent gameplan which completely neutralised the world class bjj of mir

    3-0 brock (imo)

    4) one thing people seem to forget about both cain and jds is that they have got their title shots having managed to avoid 4 main people:

    1-brock (obviously since hes champ)

    2-mir

    3-carwin

    4-each other

i consider shane carwin to still be the no.2 HW in the UFC. in my humble opinion he would DESTROY jds and cain, i just dont think they could handle him...every1 talks about cains endless gastank and carwins lack of one, but i would place money on cain being unconscience on the mat long before their gastanks came into the equation

now i acknowledge that at 121 cain could completely destroy brock, but until that happens all we can go on is logic, and my sense of logic points to one thing (and ONLY one thing) a brock victory...i just hope that if that happens then people wont turn on cain like they turned on carwin (some people would rather discredit the fighters brock has beaten than acknowledge brock is legitimate, which i find quite sad)

@partyboy (an essey for you too :) )

    1. in many ways, the fight with carwin could have easily been stopped and they wouldn't have been (many) complaints about it. but the referee kept saying that lesnar needs to fight back or he would stop the fight. causing carwin to gas as he had hit lesnar as hard as he could for at least 3 mins.

    2. the flash knock out of nog showed everyone that cain does have the power to finish a guy. and by finishing nog, the first person to do this (you could count mir but nog had a staph infection or something like that). where as brock finish carwin, who was gasses and who didnt even try stop lesnars pass to side control. i would think cains is more inpressive.

    3. cains domanation of rothwell caused him to gas. he dominated rothwell to the point where rothwell couldnt defend himself. lesnar did do the same to mir so i will give you that one.

there is also a good chance that lesnar will beat brock aswell but i am going to go with my logic

Carwins beat on lesnar weren't that severe. Most shots were to his arms and shoulders. Any observant fan could see that. of all the shots thrown by carwin only 2 landed clean. he flailed like a madman. If he'd picked his shots better and mixed it up more lesnar would now be history. Lesnar is a chump and cain has a chance of brutally knocking him out. If lesnar gets the takedown he has a chance, but that's his only chance.

let shane carwin punch you repeatedly in the arms and shoulders for 5 minutes with the occasional very clean shot to the jaw and let me know whether it hurts or not

It's really just people trying to delude themselves partyboy. Shane said, Lesnar took that GNP like nobody else. And he's right. Lesnar's face wasn't mashed to a pulp because he got punched in the arms. He didn't turtle in a panic because he got punched in the arms. He had several cuts all over his face, swollen top to bottom. Shane landed a lot.

That elbow, sounded like somebody smacked him in the face with a baseball bat.

You need to watch the fight sober. Lesnar had cuts above and bellow his eyes, on his nose, and on his chin. The shots were loud, hard, accurate, and there were many of them. You're confused.

The elbow alone would have put out anyone else. So would the first uppercut under Brock's arms. So would many of those individual punches have knocked out almost any other fighter.

saying 'he's training 150%" is a hyperbole, a figure of speech meaning "exaggeration" to create an effect of admiration or shock and awe, in the specific case of Brock...I hope Brock will be rocked this time...Cain is a machine; his only disadvantage is probably the size...Brock is a freak of nature! We'll see how Cain will deal with that..............

Guy is obviously nervous on camera...

I'm interested to see Lesnar's condition come fight night. Cain won't have the massive cardio advantage that people think. Lesnar was severely ill when he beat Heath for 15 minutes without gassing. The doctors said he was 60-80%, couldn't eat or train normally.

He looks like he won't be cutting at all for this fight.
