Mir didn't get a bonus because he played it too safe. So much for his newly found punching power

it still wasnt a good ko. mirko like fell or slipped into it. and it just fell into franks lap. Its not like Franks superior striking set that knee up or anything.

Lmao!! No kidding right?! He was already spending that money in his head... Talking about having to give his ex-wife half and all that. I would have liked to get an up close shot of his face at the presser when Dana announced the winners!

And i bet mccorkle made like 10-20k on the fight. That bonus would have been like 4 times the money.

Pretty sure the only reason he didnt get it was because his fight wasnt on the pay per veiw.

surely it must have gone to BORING bader . i get so bored with these wrestlers. everytime he didnt like the stand up he was literally diving for nog legs and when he got him down he hit like a pussy. i just dont rte bader and a light heavy in top 5 will destroy him. just my view. everyone thinks different and likes different fighters.

Bader did good ground and pound in the 1st round. He was gassing when Lil Nog hit him in the stomach with a knee i believe or a body kick i forget. But Bader with plenty of gas has good ground and pound. Also Bader dove for the legs but used it to just keep Lil Nog guessing and used it to spring up and land a punch. This was a stand up battle so i dont see how wrestling made it boring. Both were respective of each others skillset and thats that.

    @ck1

i do also get bored with watching some wrestlers but i wasnt with bader. when he took the fight to the ground he was looking to do damage during the fight. he was mixing up the strikes but when nog was starting to get te better of the standup he would look for a takedown

however wrestlers like fitch and maynad i would not pay to see. that tactic they use is fight not to lose.

if you dont want to see takedowns or ground game you should watch boxing as the sport is called MIXED martial arts.

@ rflynn. Of course i accept wrestling is a part of mma. i love this sport, been watching it for a very long time. maybe you and i will disagree with bader but thats fine. we cant all like or rate the same fighters. If he proves me wrong then ill be the 1st to write a comment to you. im not coming on here to argue,i just say what i think and see in the fights and i dont rate him. We will see how he gets on against jones and maybe ill change my mind.

Yeah Ryan Bader is a top 10 LHW. He looked pretty good in that fight yes. Not a champion but hes still getting better and i dont see how you can deny him as a top LHW....

of course wrestling played a big part because if you just went on tthe stand up then nogueira wouldve won the decision easily. and baders wrestling completely changed the fight because noguiera was always worried about the shot.

giving beltran and mitrione FOTN was not necessary, their fight doesnt even compete with sherk vs dunham

A lot of fighters get caught up with the glitz and glamour of fighting for the UFC. Their face on tv, sponsorships, hot cars, hotter girls, it seems like the majority of the fighters are in it for the fame. When was the last time we actually saw a fighter that was prideful? Not just humble and polite, I'm talking truly prideful. Was all about the art and technique. Fighters are now trying to milk the point system with wrestling as their crutch. I think the worst example of this was the Koscheck/Daley fight. Koscheck played it extremely safe and if you watch carefully at some parts, I think kos goes from side control and actually jumps into Daley's half guard just to make it see like there is action going on. Stop milking the point system and go out there and win it on your own instead of impressing people to win it for you...

    Mir got ripped off.

What difference does it make when the KO comes, what happened before it and whether or not it was delivered by way of knee, fist, elbow, shin or foot?

It's KO of the Night, not Punch of the Night.

For all those that say otherwise - I wonder how many of them would take that fight and victory as their own and then not bitch about getting the bonus. Yes, I can hear them all now...no, Mr. White...Sir...no, I don't expect any bonus, Sir. No, Mr. White...I know I KO'd the #### out of that guy...I hope he's okay...and I know I probably retired his ass...but, no Mr. White, I don't deserve my bonus for laying him out cold, at the end of the fight. Thank you Mr. White for allowing me to exist, fight for this organization and feed my family.

Yes - they'd all be piss'n and moanin' about not getting "their" bonus...for "their" knock out; regardless of when or how it came or how exciting the lead up to it was.

Everyone here would take the 75k if it was offer no strings attached. Obviously were not dumb. Thats how we were able to discern mir shouldn't have got a bonus.

They were head lining a UFC and put up one of the most boring fights in modern ufc history. why would the ufc reward that.
