In this photo, Chael Sonnen wears a T-Shirt with Nick Diaz's trademark "Don't be scared homie", probably sending a message to his (unofficial) future opponent Michael "The Count" Bisping. The MMA's most famous anti-hero is expected to return sometime this summer.

He looks the same to me. I'm just trying to imagine him grappling with nick diaz....both guys have a "take no prisoners" attitude, must be intense.
Don't think hes gotten big, just fatter cause hes not in fighting shape like most MMA fighters when they dont have a fight coming up

Taking steroids is SUPPOSED to make you huge, what do you expect? Plus he doesn't have to cut weight now.

Not true at all. Look at him at all the pre and post Silva fight photos. Much smaller than he is there.

Furthermore, it's not just "a positive test". It wasnt just for that period of time of the Silva fight. It was stated he takes the injections twice a week ever since 2008, and is still taking his "medicine" (as he worded it) now.
yeah medicine because his body produces unusually low amounts of testosterone, thus was proven by his medical record.

Chael Sonnen is a takedown machine. Doesn't make for exciting fights but gotta give him his due.

Man I hate pulling for Chael nowadays but against Bisping.... man it's a toss up.
A fighter taking performance enhancing supplements will be fighting out of his normal range of capabilities.
It remains to be seen whether Chaels relentless fighting style can continue while he is drug free.
I think fans are talking too much of Chael "juicing". I mean, there's a known reason to why he took PED's.
He's just off training, and getting big. It's natural. Middleweights usually walk around 200-210lbs. It looks like Chael Sonnen bulked up to 230, but it's still a natural process 'coz he's off training.
I think it's a disturbing issue for most fans because his medical condition is allowing him to do something that would be illegal for other fighters to do, thus giving him an unfair advantage in the octagon, even if it's not intended as one.
That "known reason"is caused by steroid abuse. Your testicles dont just randomly stop doing what they are supposed to do, without some help. Now because he did that, he's got a free pass to juice.

There is probably a slight issue of trust too, due to his other recent run-in's with the law.
People probably would not be making as big of a deal of either of the separate issues if the testosterone and mortgage fraud did not come to light within a few months of each other.
With both issues fresh in your mind, it's natural to think - If he paid people off and submitted fraudulent documents before, who is to say he did not do the same thing with the legal issues of his medical condition?
I hope Chael is preparing Shields with some vicious wrestling for the GSP bout. I seriously think this fight is gonna be a lot crazier than people expect.
sonnen has stayed busy training for his return to the ufc he has stayed training to beat silvas ass thats why hes so huge still working but no weight loss he said after the silva vs belfort fight that silva showd him the last thing he needed to know to beat silva. so he has stayed fit so he cand return destroy micheal the coward bisping and then run through anderson again but leave with the belt this time sonnen will rule the middleweight in his return

I can't get over how dishonest this guy is. Not only was he doping (with some silly explanation) but he just plead guilty to mortgage fraud. No matter how many fights he wins, he'll always be a loser who sets a bad example to impressionable kids....
