Dominick Cruz talks TUF 15, says he's ready to "go to war" with Urijah Faber

Cruz explains that he's always known that he could beat Faber, and says he's looking forward to being a part of The Ultimate Fighter.

"I've kind of thought that I could beat (Urijah Faber) since day one anyway. I lost the first fight with him, got it back the second fight, we're getting ready to go to war again - let's do it. ... It's a challenge (coaching on TUF), but I'm up for the challenge. A lot of other champions have done it, you've seen Georges St. Pierre do it. A lot of the best fighters have to go through it. It's part of the process of being where you're at in the sport, and we're representing the weight class - I'm representing the weight class. I'm excited to be able to do that and have the opportunity to coach some guys. It's just all about prioritizing during the coaching."

Renan Barao is only fighter that might beat the champ Cruz.... That guy MMA skills are scary.... Yet Cruz is The Champion for a reason... Faber is overhype and overrated... How many more title shots is he going to be getting... Dude is worst then Randy on getting free title shots... Dana is listening to the fans on wanting Faber as champ... He knows he would make more money with Faber as UFC Champ... Yet while the hate is giving to Cruz , he only get stronger, and more motivate... Cruz will whoop Faber like last time... Faber lost twice to Mike Brown, and would have lost twice to Aldo if he would have stayed at 145, and soon will loose to Cruz again... The champ Cruz has beaten better competition since been champion then Faber hole MMA carrier.... So Yes Faber = Overhype, and even Overrated...

@Goldenbabychild, You're a retard. How long have you been an MMA fan? Look down the list on wikipedia of the names Urijah has fought and realize this guy is for real. He has twice as many big names under his win list as Dominick. I respect dominick for his performances and enjoy his fights but he was the one in trouble on multiple occasions against Faber. Dominick did well to stay away from Faber finishing him and narrowly made the win. Urijah can't be overated considering his size and record against guys bigger than him and even nearly finished Mike brown by submission in R4 after dealing with both hands being broken from beginning of R2. The guy nearly out did Brown with elbows alone. You certainly have an overated opinion of your own opinion.

There are no excuses man, I never said Faber should have won or anything just that he is extremely talented and has many times had the adavantages against him and pulls off feats the other fighters don't. Most other fighters drop their fighting skills to nil once they are hurt and Faber remains dangerous and even comes close to winning against brown even with broken hands. He has never been KO'd or subbed unlike Cruz. Nobody has heart like Faber and Frankie. Cruz is great but I am waiting for you to show me a list of 5 or 6 people that stacks up to the top fighters that Faber has faced Like Bowles, Aldo, Mizugaki,Charles Bennet, Bibiano fernandez, Mike Brown, Tyson griffin. Not to mention that most of Dominicks fights are decisions and Faber is a finisher. Dominick never came close to finishing faber and faber has finished cruz once before as well as knocking him down a few times in their last fight and winning basically by takedowns to which faber was up in less than 10 seconds anyway with no damage. on damage alone faber easily one that fight.
Again you're giving excuses for Faber... He lost to Brown twice, and he lost to Cruz on their second fight...Give it up...HE LOST.. Cruz won all five rounds... Faber fought against Aldo yet lost.. Faber fought Brown and Lost twice. So Aldo, and Brown don't count in his list of victims... I'm saying who has he beaten, not who has he fought. He beat Cruz awhile back, when Cruz was starting WEC ... As for the champ.. He whooped Faber in his prime. Cruz has beaten Benavidez. He also just beat The Mouse... A small Mouse that would wipe the floor on all Faber list of Victims at 135... Cruz also beat Bowels, and Scott Jorgensen... Just with those, Cruz has fought and beaten better competition then Faber list.. And those who Cruz whooped are still a force in The UFC... Not like the list of Faber.. And Frankie will loose soon to Ben Henderson... Fly away...
I agree Ben will beat Frankie but Faber beat Bowles worse than Cruz did by far. He also fought to a decision in which many people think he narrowly attained and most certainly he was more hurt than faber as he was knocked down on multiple occasions and Faber wasn't. You still didn't say anything about Faber being smaller and yet still hangin with all these guys. Aldo had something to fear from Fabers power but in a fight with Cruz he would let it go a lot more because he doesn't need to fear a finish. So far Cruz eaked out a decision against faber and Faber has already beaten him by submission once so it still sways in Fabers favor especially when you look at how they each fought Bowles you would have to respect Faber. The funny thing in this arguement we are having is that you are saying Faber is overrated and even though he nearly knocked the block off of Cruz you maintain he is not a worthy challenger. Yes he lost to Brown twice but in each circumstance it was it was really unlucky and not through domination or skillset. He walked into a punch and then in the next fight he broke both hands in R2 and still went on to nearly submit Brown in R4. He was having his way with Brown in R1 of the second fight and in many of the later rounds he was having success even without his hands. You need to wake up.
Bottom Line he lost to Brown twice... Cruz also broke his hand the last time and yet still won his fight against The Mouse... So I call it excuse... When Faber fought Aldo you saw what happen when you a fight a real top MMA fighter. So he ran away looking for Cruz.. And no one had Faber fighting at Aldo's division... It's all on him... And Faber didn't do shit to Cruz on their second fight... Look how quickly Cruz got right back up... Either Faber doesn't have power, or Cruz has a hell of a strong chin... He beat them in their primes. Fact is cruz was knocked down and his only points advantage was takedowns. For damage Faber won. Cruz broke 1 hand Faber broke both. Cruz also has a size advantage on all his fighters where as Faber doesn't. I am not even saying Faber won but you are being rediculous by saying he is not even worthy. You act like Dominick was bored in their fight when he was the only one that had to fight going unconscious in their fight. If Faber hadn't been taken down it was his fight. Faber was significantly smaller than Aldo and Brown and Dominick tried 145 once and was easily beaten of which Faber held the title in a weight class he shouldn't have been in. Faber is better inch for inch and p4p.
