Dominick Cruz talks TUF 15, says he's ready to "go to war" with Urijah FaberPosted on January 30, 2012, 02:47 PM by Joey Santosus
Reigning Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz, who will coach opposite long-time rival Urijah Faber on TUF 15, discusses their impending trilogy fight, and shares his thoughts on being a part of the reality series. Cruz explains that he's always known that he could beat Faber, and says he's looking forward to being a part of The Ultimate Fighter.
"I've kind of thought that I could beat (Urijah Faber) since day one anyway. I lost the first fight with him, got it back the second fight, we're getting ready to go to war again - let's do it. ... It's a challenge (coaching on TUF), but I'm up for the challenge. A lot of other champions have done it, you've seen Georges St. Pierre do it. A lot of the best fighters have to go through it. It's part of the process of being where you're at in the sport, and we're representing the weight class - I'm representing the weight class. I'm excited to be able to do that and have the opportunity to coach some guys. It's just all about prioritizing during the coaching."
