Also present is his boxing coach, Richard Perez, who says he is confident that "The Stockton Bad Boy" is going to "beat down" Condit at UFC 143.

Didnt this fight just happen? Ya, Diaz Vs. Cerrone right? I mean really how can someone bet against Nick when Nate (a lighter version of Nick) just had this fight with Cerrone (fights very similar to Condit IMO) and dominated!
do you have a sense of humor? I hear walmart is rolling back prices on them this week, so you may wish to go pick one up. Although I do think carlos should win, i also kind of believe the diaz brothers are my 'pick' kryptonite, im often right about how fights will go, but am always wrong with the diaz brothers. I really don't understand why, it's like people get in there with them and forget how to fight, look at bj penn, have you ever seen bj stand against the fence and eat punches with no reaction or retalliation before??? but he did it for 10mins against diaz, have you ever seen donald cerrone look that slow and flat footed before? So i'll give them credit for what it is they do, even if i don't totally understand it, i suppose constant pressure is too much for some people to handle and adapt to... but, i stand by condit. I still believe he is the real #1 contender, and has been for a long time. And, he should definitely prove it next weekend. If he doesn't I will never pick against a diaz again! (unless it's GSP lol, cause no matter what diaz does or doesnt do to condit, GSP will make him look like everyone else that he's fought.. Like their not even playing the same game as GSP..

Haha! LOL! :) Okay, now that that is over with. I am so glad you are mostly right, but clearly this time you are wrong. Diaz is the best fighter Condit has ever faced and that means he will look like all the other guys Diaz has ruined. Everyone will say "its like Carlos forgot how to fight", but really he just got his ass kicked by a far better fighter who knows how to shut people up.
it could be said rory macdonald was a better fighter... since rory man handled little diaz for 3 rounds,but got owned at the end of the fight with carlos (who did it with jj and gnp if i remember correctly).. this shows how good condit's bjj is, and how strong he is. I think rory mac would throw nick diaz around also to be honest with you.. we will agree to disagree, and ill come back and say haha told u so, or, ill come back and see you saying the same! but mark my words, CONDIT WILL WIN!

Carlos condit will take nick diaz out with his crisp striking and he just has way more technique in the stand up, on the ground i would say there equal, but condit is gonna beat down nick IMO

Don't think its gonna happen but it would suck if Nick loses. Condit and his camp may be the only people in the world that want him to fight GSP.
No knock against the Diaz Bros. but its weird to hear how Stockton is portrayed as a real tough place when its not. Stockton is filled with tweaks, farmland, fishing holes & people that want to get away from the Bay Area.

Wall Street's STREET crime rate doesn't come even relatively close to Stockton's. It has the 2nd highest crime rate in California, next to nearby Oakland.
Carlos is taller with better reach and a very talented fighter and Nick will face a tough fight and i got a feeling Condit pulls off this match.IMO
They have the same reach and condit at most has 1/2" on Diaz. Nick has done fine against a better kick boxer on his feet and condit does not have the type of takedown skills to win that way. Condit can win but it's an uphill battle.

I like Condit and am rooting for him in the fight but I just feel he is going to back up from Diaz and eventually get caught in a swarm without time to regain composure. Condit has come out of the very deepest of ends though so I could be wrong. I just feel Diaz will have to have a doctors stoppage to lose tis fight.
You do have a point when you talk about height. Diaz has fought shorter opposition of late, and I am interested in seeing how he handles a man more his size. Nate did just fine against Cowboy.
