UFC Middleweight contender Demian Maia picked up his second straight win defeating former Ultimate Fighter winner Kendall Grove via unanimous decision.

Right from the start it appeared Grove was in for a long night as Maia was able to drag things to the ground and impose his will.  Much of the opening round saw the Brazilian landing shots from top position as he looked to soften Grove up for a submission.  The second round went no better for the Hawaiian, and though he was able to sweep and free himself midway through, Maia immediately gained clinch control before once again taking him down.  In the final round, Grove attempted to keep his distance and utilize his reach a bit more, but it wasn't long before Maia secured a limb, backed him against the cage and controlled him for the remainder of the bout successfully taking the decision as the judges scored it 29-28, 29-28, 29-28 for the Brazilian.

If there wasn't 5 minute rounds Maia would finish 95% of his fights.
