UFC President Dana White speaks with ESPN about a variety of topics, including the rivalry between Rashad Evans and Jon Jones, Rampage Jackson, Vitor Belfort and much more. White gives his thoughts on Jackson's upcoming title fight with Jones and responds to Belfort's recent remarks regarding Anderson Silva. Photo: Francis Specker

"To be honest with you, (Quinton Jackson) was in horrible shape going into the Matt Hamill fight. The one thing that he did that I like for this fight (against Jon Jones), he went right from that camp into this camp and moved to Denver, Colorado to train. I actually think you're going to see a different Rampage than we've seen in his last couple of fights. Like Rashad (Evans) said at the UFC 133 Press Conference, he's a tough guy and Jon Jones is really well-rounded and everything - and even though Rampage might fight like Frankenstein, if he catches you, he will knock you out."

I thought everyone swore up and down Rampage went into his last fight in top shape and was dead serious.

I dunno... I hear that every time with him and think he will get KTFO this time.

In his last fight he had 100% takedown defense and his boxing looked sharp. What's your point?

but he was using his boxing against hamill, and no disrespect to either fighter but hamill is not the best striking/striking defense

GSP doesn't finish anybody, George "Rush" St. Pierre did. Kind of makes me wanna see Nick Diaz come out with the W..just my opionion tho

who knows Nick Diaz is the perfect person to force the return of Rush. he will take the fight to him and no doubt when someone actually tries to fight GSP, RUSH shows up..it seems like when his opponents don't try he doesn't have to do much which is why he dominated and decisioned the last few opponents they don't take the fight to him.but if Diaz does,RUSH might just return

His Fitch arguement didn't seem very good actually. Yes GSP dominated him but others that GSP dominated got their second chance. What do you do with a guy that dominates everyone else? You need to give Fitch the shot.

I agree that GSP has dominated other fighters that he was put up with again... but to be honest I have no interest in seeing GSP fight Fitch again. His fighting style just isnt the type that will beat GSP, and it doesnt make for an exciting fight.

I dont think he deserves another shot, not for a long time, Its one thing to get submitted by GSP, Even the best can get caught in a submission, it happens. Its a different story to get your face smashed in for 5 rounds.

    - The guy doesnt make changes to make fights exiting

    - He's not entertaining because of his love for LnP.

    - All the guy does is grind out decisions.

The last guy he finished was back in 2007.. ALMOST FIVE YEARS AGO!

The guy deserves to fight top guys, but he doesn't deserve a title shot, until he made some changes or completely dominates his next two opponents..

Sure some of my comments could be used for GSP also, but there´s a difference between the two, for 1: GSP is the champ, and doesn't rely on just one skill. 2: He adjust´s his gameplan to his opponents.. so its rarely a boring fight.

dude you better think before you comment...other than BJ Penn Nobody has fought GSP more than once for the Title other than Matt Serra and in that Fight GSP got the second shot and as for BJ that was his first shot.....so wake up......

I did think and I was refering to BJ. My point stands in that Fitch is beating everyone else and he is more deserving than anyone else in the division. You're getting pretty hard over this for some reason.

So there you have it. People do get second chances after domination of the others in the divisions so I think someone needs to sit down.

I guess it's just a matter of opinion on weather or not you want to see the fight but rightfully he should get another shot and I for one would like to see it.

I take it you're not listening for the obvious reasons why he should get the shot and clinging to the rational that he doesn't deserve it becase Dana said so? LOL. You have a big brain, can I have some?

dana knows this sport if guys would just allow themselves to listen to him instead listening to him trying to hear things to use against him they just may learn something.......

Wow a Dana fan. Your favourite part of UFC is when Dana speaks. Remember that Dana speaks business first and then he considers the fight. So by your standards if you piss Dana off that is going to affect your rank in the division.

also if you would have been listening to what he was saying about fitch in the interview that also seems to be his reasonong for making it tuff for fitch to get another shot,,,, Look MMa is in its infantcy and in the future there are going to be better promoters that Dana White,, you have to take into consideration that he is flying by the seat of his pants and learning and really pioneering in the business but as far as the sport he really knows fighters...I never said he was perfect......

I don't understand the business so much as the proper rank and opportunity for fighters. I was listening but I just happen to think being on bad terms with Dana is not an ethical way of showing who does or doesn't deserve a shot. Overall I have agreed with most of your comments so I doubt we have too many differences. I don't think I am a fan of Fitchs style just his personality and thats why I hope he wins his fights. Fitch IMO has been getting more exciting with his standup recently and I hope it is spelling a change in his ability to finish.

Mr Falcon I really Like John Fitch I am a fan of, now believe this ,, his fighting stlye, meaning he fights within his strenghts, now this is what the average fan does not agree with everyone wants to see the blood bath and does not look at the sport for what it truly is and another thing that hurts MMA is the issue with teamates not fighting and this has to change also another thing that Dana is not good at handling and what fitch said during the press confrence to Dana is what is the issue with his career.. what a bad time to discuss the issue with Dana White. and the sad thing is that he keeps defending his belief on fighting teamates and Dana believes if you reallyt want to be world Champ you should Fight whoever reguardless and nobody is right or wrong it is something that needs to be rectified,,look he does alot of things(Dana) that I do not agree with, and this is what time and COMPITITION with Dana white will fix.....he has the monolopy and it is bad and even worse for the fighters,,especially thier futures after fighting.....so we probablly DOaggree on alot of things
