    stupid, and the bad thing for the fighters is that he knows he has the power over them to make them fight on the card. I think i remember reading the last place they were going to show it was blown up.

    Islam is proving to be a disease not a religion.

    Those people set off car bombs and kill lots of their own people. Dont sit there trying to make that country look innocent, they are anything but innocent.

    PS your use of the English language sucks as much as your one sided views on life.

    Your brothers? What about your sisters?

    Are your brothers the same ones who throw acid in the faces of little girls for the crime of walking to school to get an education?

    Are your brothers the ones who strap explosives to their bodies and walk into a crowded market place or mosque and murder crowds of men, women and children? Then claim they are holy? Your brothers actually believe they will go to heaven for cowardly murder?

    I wonder who is brainwashed?

    exactly, im all for Danas global expansion plan but holding an event that will be watched global, gain world wide publicity in a war zone would attract probably just as much unwelcomed attention as welcomed. make tito the main event...just incase :)

    Believe me there are some huge bases out their you have about as good of a chance of being struck by lightning then, to be hit with a mortar on a large base.

    @crocop

    Unwanted attention? there putting on a show for the troops so i'd have to disagree there. The WWE have put on shows in Iraq and Afghanistan, I don't want to get into a big political debate but the military can ensure there is no danger to the fighters. A few years ago some British and US Soldiers were trapped in Saddams palace by insurgents and it was a battle for them to leave and get supplies there (they were using the palace as a military base) the US and UK made a deal with insurgents and for a period of time moved in and out of the base with not one shot being fired. I watched this on national television in the UK but i'm sure you could find it on youtube.

    Its not worth that risk for that fan base, I dont see too many Afghans paying 55 dollars per event

    sounds interesting man il have a look. And yeah i agree with you but there always that potential risk. Im guessing your a british citizen like myself and you will know that terror alert is at an all time high at this current moment, the risk is always there, and especially in a country where the insurgents originate. But hey, i know **** all about politics i just want to see some fights. Fair point though mate.

    @UrHype

    The event wouldn't be for Afghans it would be for the troops the WWE events were also for the troops not the Iraq or Afghan public. But even if it was for the fans your argument is still weak considering the fact they LIVE in a WARZONE there in danger sitting in their homes let alone going out somewhere.

    Entertainers have been holding shows for troops on the front lines for many decades. The USO and Bob Hope used to bring his show to every war-zone including Korea, Viet Nam, Lebanon and Iraq.

    It's no big deal. The military won't allow it unless it can be done in relative safety.

    If he loves and supports the troops / mission so much, why doesn't he enlist?

    I am sick an tired of The UFC being used as a recruiting tool and cheerleader for the US military.

    I watch The UFC for the fights, not Dana White's political views; he can shove them up his uninformed and ignorant ass.

    Question to DW - Why are we fighting the Taliban, they didn't attack America on 911? Nor did Iraq.

    I say everyone in the United States should be a cheerleader/supporter of our military and its troops regardless of your views. So thank you Dana for having a good business mind and being patriotic. WWE did it for the troops why not the UFC? Your question is stupid by the way…it’s called fight for the troops not the war. I know plenty of people who support the troops but not the war.

    To answer your question as best as I can:

    In Marketing, it is very important to target your audience. Thus, tampons are not advertised on UFC broadcasts as a rule. On the other hand, the US Marine Corps. probably won't advertise/recruit on Oprah. It just so happens that the target demographic of the Marine Corps. coincides closely with the UFC fight fan. I am not certain why, but there it is. ' )

    The Taliban and al Quaeda have been inseparable since the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. The Taliban government at the time encouraged militants/terrorists to locate and train in their country. In recent years, the 'foreign' al Queda fighters have not been so welcome by the Taliban. The US and Nato nations set up a government of those who oppose the Taliban. Regrettably, just as in Viet Nam, the government is corrupt, and the people do not support it nor do they wish to fight as hard for their freedom as the Taliban is willing to fight to take it away.

    Stalemate. Exit strategy soon. Taliban returns to power.

    And the wheel keeps turning.

    Why are even troops in a foreign country in the first place?

    Dana White wants to do a show of entertainment on a country that is not his, where they are not welcome, where people are getting kill every day, while they are in a middle of a war, only him could think it's a good idea.

    Oh i forgot he support the troops so much. Getting money all over his bold head sitting on his ass.

    If he supports them so much them join them, and if he cares about the fans lower the PPV's because 45dlls for 2 decent fights in each event is unacceptable.

    I don't know about this... I don't think they should go there I mean the troops need to have focus over there on a day to day basis, it's still very hot over there (NOT weather wise but shooting wise) and for the military to secure an area and pull soldiers of the line could be very dangerous. I'm with MMAEXPERT21 if Dana White really cares about the fan then the UFC should lower the PPV and donate some of the profits to the injured returning troops. Also the UFC could buy massive tv's and satellite dish for each of the base and beam PPV events, TV show affiliated with the UFC for free.
