A short time ago UFC President Dana White said that at some point the promotion would hold two events on the same day in different parts of the world. Well, it seems as if some day may take place early in 2012.

Following Saturday’s UFC on Versus 6 fight card, which was held at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C, White said that the first two event on the same night could take place with fights in Japan and the United States in late February of next year.

White speaking to NBCSports.com said, “The way that would work is that the fight in Japan would be live here on free TV. It would be live here on free TV and lead into a pay per view in the United States.

White also said that the two fights on one night would only work when the promotion held an international and U.S. fight on the same night.  The UFC President also said that the Japanese fans would be presented with a solid fight card.

The UFC is scheduled to return to Japan on February 26, but no U.S. card has been set for that date.

i'm worried that the free tv (japan) section of the event will be much like UK events and have no starpower in them, it's fine to disappoint england, but it'd be a crying shame to do it to japan

intersting to see how they pull this off, like which personel will be in Japan (example; the commentators), which fighters they choose to fight in Japan, the production style etc

First off tell me how and why anyone dislikes Dana White. Compare him to any other President or CEO of all the other sports leagues. He's the only one that doesn't blow smoke up all of our collective asses.

Second, Dana says this all the time.......When have they ever given us a bad card????

You know, Toxic, there is some truth to what you say but it is the same business model as Microsoft, McDonald, Wal-Mart etc. It is heavy handed cut throat competition. He manages the UFC the way that Sonnen fights. Not the way that GSP fights or Anderson Silva fights but Chael F**kin Sonnen!...and claws and pushes his way to the top building US the most entertaining sport ever. Thanks Dana.
