Dana White reveals plans for "TUF: World Cup"

"I just announced last week about The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil. The amount of talent that TUF: Brazil is going to create is going to be phenomenal. And as we continue to go into these different markets and do The Ultimate Fighter, it's going to get very interesting. I've said it many times and finally I feel like I'm on my way. My goal is to get TUF running in all of these different countries at the same time and then when you have a winner, we do like the World Cup, where each guy from each country fights each other and you end up with one winner. So, we're getting closer and closer to this dream I've had for the last five years."
It appears the "Mad Genius" is at it again.
Speaking at today's UFC on Fox Media Conference Call, UFC President Dana White revealed his grand plan for the promotion's hit reality series, The Ultimate Fighter. After recently announcing that Brazil would play host to the very first International edition of the show, White elaborated today, explaining that the country will be just one of several to get its very own version of TUF. Though it's not the first time that White has made such indications, he went on to reveal that each of the show's winners would then move on to participate in a "TUF: World Cup," which would eventually crown one global Champion. So what do you think LowKick'ers? Could this be the move that reinvigorates TUF or is it nothing more than an unlikely pipe dream?

This is probably one of those "Dana - you're nuts" moments... only for him to bring it to fruition in a few years. I wouldn't doubt it.
It would be insane... Just this kind of tournament could easily be as attractive as the actual UFC events.
Actually, I think it would be even more attractive as the UFC events because now it just go international and the viewers would be double, triple or may be 10 times more than what we have today.
I hope it's different than the past tv shows. I hope it's about the fighting instead of the drama. I would hate to see these guys act a fool in different countries.

Great idea. I would have no problem with 3 or 4 TUF's a year. It'd be great to have the option to watch that many.
I'd don't think this idea is crazy, or even that difficult. It's mostly a question of overcoming logistics, and when you have as much $$$ as the UFC, very do-able.

Those would sound sick I really hope most they do a TUF in Japan and Russia.
It sounds pretty unlikely but when you see what Dana has done with the ufc in the last 5 years, I don't doubt he can't pull this out as well...Go TUF:UK ;)
