Dana probably smoked some weed and thought real hard how he can spin what happened against SF

Only explanation for such a crazy theory

Great comment, mate! Dana ain't on weed, though. He'll fully lucid. As usual, he'll twist and turn everything to discredit his rivals / "enemies" and promote his own organization. This "crazy" conspiracy theory is invented "from thin air" to drive a wedge between Shields and Scott and sign the promising champ in the UFC (something that may very well happen soon, not because of Dana's twisted hypothesis, but because of Shields' interest to compete w/ the best)...

When the thread arose...."Whos resposible for the brawl?"

My reply unlike most was "management for allowing people who have no relevance to the fight in the cage in the first place"....hmmm

EXACTLY! Even one of the commentators said something to the effect of this during the incident I believe. Not the whole thing about it being intentional, but that he would stay now to take this fight.

It took Dana 3 days to come up w/ this surreal theory. This just answered my burning question of why he's kept unusually quiet about the SF mayhem on Saturday...He was working on this "theory"...

Not going to lie what Dana said was something i thought about, and might of been a possiblity, They where looking to give Jake a reason to stay, not that they gave him one before he won the fight.

i fully agree with you, and i don't think dana is crazy at all. I think he's speaking perfect sense, not being funny, but if they lose there champion to the ufc, then they've lost one of there biggest pay per view attractions, and top fighters.

AND if they didn't tell mayhem to get in there, they sure are going to be happy if they manage to keep shields due to that!

I believe Mayhem might have wanted to give Shields a reason to stay but to say Coker planed this? Come on that is pathetic, oh I know maybe Dana told Brock to insult Mir after he lost so they could amp up another rematch and sell lots of pay per views....

Also is it unusual for a challenger to go in and challenge someone in the cage after a win? Say Rampage and Rashad for example, Dana White didn't plan for the confrontation to get as intense as it did anymore then Coker would have planed for a brawl.

It doesn't look like Frank Mir will be fighting Brock Lesnar for a 3rd time anyway after Mir lost to Shane Carwin. Carwin will be the one to fight Brock. How will that be another rematch?

Rashad challenged Rampage because Rampage beat Keith Jardin who is Rashad's stablemate at the Jackson's camp and Rashad didn't like what Rampage said about the fight with Keith Jardin after winning. The original plan of UFC was if rampage beat jardin, then he will fight Rashad for the championship belt so after Rampage won rashad went inside the ring saying he will KO rampage at their planned fight to avenge Keith Jardin's lost. But everybody was saying that Lyoto Machida deserves to fight for the belt because he was not being given recognition as a contender. So they changed it to Lyoto Machida to be fair and to give Rampage a chance to rest after fighting back to back fights. Then Rashad lost to Machida. Bad Blood between Rashad and Rampage continues so they will still fight. at UFC 114.

What I like about Dana White is that he says what is on his mind not like other people who are fakes. Strikeforce are a bunch of Goons

@CosmicJoke what? Dana White only says what he thinks will earn him more money, I mean there are hundreds of examples where Dana just straight up lies and has been called on those lies many many times, like the whole "I don't even want to sign Fedor" bs. Speaks his mind indeed, must have politicians for parents.

@Krogan He's a good promoter if he truly believes in it. He has the right to change his mind but at that moment he meant it. Have you seen Dana White on his Video Blog Videos? He's so candid. Or have you been to his Twitter?

Or maybe I'm just not seeing it. I remember seeing on Youtube, Dana talking about chuck liddell when he was still Chuck's manager like Chuck was unbeatable then the next thing and the next moment Rampage beats him at Pride. But again he was just "promoting"

That is the truest comment so far, I do believe only someone with psychopathic tendencies would have thought of that as a likely scenario.

"Nashville Riots" could be the setup and "Self promotion " alots of people doing that is the case. Though . I personally think Dana is a Business man,Hes not that dumb, said sonething might destroy his reputation and UFC Organization,if Hendo win that is a different story and now look at that Jake Shields won and maybe wonna leave that the division ,so just think of that point

well that does seem a litte far out BUT think of this pretty much everyone including SF president thought henderson would win, and jake was on his last fight on the contract so when he shocked the world and beat hendo SF didnt want to loose someone who just beat dan henderson so ya they gave him a reason to stay. very interesting dana

What I like about Dana White is that he says what is on his mind not like other people who are fakes. Strikeforce tried to feed Jake shields to the Lion that is Dan Henderson but failed so they went to Plan B.

It's a great theory, but it's just a theory. All this audio shows is how much Dana wants Shields. You can hear it in his voice. He wants to punish Showtime. He is going to throw money at Shields. Stacks of it.

The only thing he can offer Shields is a title fight agasin't Silva and he has already promised that to Sonnen. Besides that does he really want Shields to fight Silva? Another BJJ expert? I am sure it would make a for an excellent fight..../end sarcasm.

Wow are u guys seriously saying that is "far fetched?" What the hell is wrong with u guys? This is a business! It is engrossed with dirty, financially motivated ulterior motives. I am for one, CERTAIN, this is almost totally true. I am not sure that a brawl was in the mix, but thats what Coker gets! Wow, some of u guys sure are naive....
