Dana White does not want Fedor in the UFC
Posted on June 30, 2010, 10:38 PM by johnedgeDana White was recently interviewed. When asked if he would still want Fedor in the UFC, he answered, "NOPE". Dana continues to add, "Do you realize this man was created by the media?" and later continues to say, "He has no star power."
The question remains is Dana White playing the media? or is he for real and does not want him in the UFC? Could Dana be scared that Fedor will come back even stronger?
Whatever the answer is. We all know Dana has the best interest for fans or does he?
Fedor loses one fight and now Dana says he doesn't want him in the UFC. Rumor has it he wants Werdum back in the UFC now that he has impressed people. Dana has to believe there is some stock that comes to Fedor or he wouldn't want Werdum back in the UFC
What do you think? Does he really not want Fedor in the UFC? or are the fans just being put on the edge or our sets? YES or NO

Something tells me that Dana still wants Fedor in the UFC so I'm not really sure he's telling the truth this time.
I'm sure he DOES want him in the UFC, but he's not willing to pay him $20 million to do it anymore.
Fedor's management screwed him out of the deal of a lifetime.
funny Dana is saying the former #1 heavyweight in the world with a previous record of 31-1 and a 10 year carrer was created by the media
but his Champion Brock Lesnar 4-1 who has not fight for a year is the and happends to be a famous fake wrestler from the super popular WWE , is the best Heavyweight in the World
well Dana what can i say im just a fan while you have the biggest MMA organization in the world
But brock has "star power"....mmmmmkay?
Dana, i think is a good guy, but his business side is fking dark en brutal.
Lol, I was wondering which goober would do it first....
I mean how can you put Brock next to Fedor and honestly say that Brock doesnt have star power? What funny is you are proving Dana's point every time you say Brock's name... Every time you hate and talk bad about him or compare him to your favorite fighter... That IS star power!!!
5 fights? He can't even eat at the adults table of MMA yet, much less eat with the superstars/legends like Fedor. GTFO with that garbage.
Im not sure what dark en brutal means but I totally agree!
SHARP x10!
Fedor did have a very good record, but lets be honest - 5 years ago how many people outside of Japan knew how Fedor was? Hell even 2 years ago I used to talk about him and I only met one person who knew who he was.
Now he has millions of fans who have only seen clips of him on youtube, never seen most of his fights, and never watched any of his fights live except his last few.
So lets be real - a large portion of Fedors current image really was due to hype.
Dana surely wants Fedor to enter the UFC via The Ultimate Fighter.
It was a great idea, and made for great television: Everyday Fedor acted the fool, blowing air horns in the middle of the night, lighting bags of poop on fire and pissing in the veggie drawer. Unfortunately, Fedor never made it to the UFC despite his impressive performance, because he head-butted a stripper at a frat party. That crazy Fedor.
That was hilarious.
When listening to the video, something tells me he is just smearing him for the loss. I really think he knows Fedor will be like a raging bull in his next fight and he is a little worried.
I also listened to Joe Rogan's interview and he thinks Fedor will be better for the loss.
Dana has watched MMA forever. He knows what Fedor is capable of. That's why he was on his nuts trying to sign him for the longest time. Now he takes a loss and all of a sudden he bashes him saying he is a product of the media. Dana is a freaking joke nowadays. Damn when did business start getting in the way of being real?
When Fedors stocks plummeted after his loss and his offer of a $20 million contract was revoked.
Dana has done a great job of making MMA main stream in North America. But i'm positive if Dana acted more graciously towards Fedor after pride was done and even if Fedor was in Strikeforce things would be different. And by that statement he's shown that he hasn't learned how to deal with Fedor, you can't bully and intimidate Fedor into signing for the UFC, which is what Dana is doing, and it's not working.
Fedors management wouldnt even let him fight Overeem. How do you figure things would have been different if Dana acted different?
Fedor just listens to his management. That's why I've been complaining about them so much lately lol. THEY are the ones who dodged Overeem, not him. They are the ones who put him against Werdum in a fight he has nothing to gain in, and look how that ended up.
They should have let him take the UFC contract, and he would have made millions of dollars, and would have been put against a contender rather than the #10 ranked fighter, which would have been much less of a loss... and he would still have a huge paying contract.
If he wouldnt join the UFC with crazy offers on the table (Rogan seriously said it was $20 million offer) you think they would take a lesser offer now? Better yet, you think Dana would be offering anywhere near as much anymore?
So he goes from offering 20 mil to saying he doesn't deserve to be in the UFC? How does that even make sense with one loss?
Well, it makes sense because the guy was so appealing for the sole reason that he had not lost.
At this point, the offer is gone, it's off the table. Of course Dana isnt known for being the most graceful guy with words, but as a translation.... "He doesnt deserve to be in the UFC"... Translation: that's Dana's way of saying "He doesnt deserve to be paid as much as I offered him".
That's a pretty bold way to say it, but you get the point.
@Spyridon
Ok that's definitely something I can agree with. I still think Dana would like to see Fedor in the UFC. Obvoiusly he isn't going to get as much as the 1st offer which I don't believe for a sec was 20 mil. What ticks me off about Dana is that he doesn't have to trash talk Fedor. Fedor not being with the UFC hasn't hurt the UFC one bit. So why be a hater?
You're damn right it wasn't 20 million. It was more like 3-4 from what came out afterwards.
Didn't Dana use to be obsesed with signing Fedor??
"NOPE. F%$# Fedor is made up by duh F%#$ media, duh.. F$%%"
Screw Dana white
dana white is the biggest joke in MMA!!!! i never heard a interview or a statement without lying!!!!
hope he eats his own words after carwin beats his fighter of the century with a record of 4-1^^ .... and he talks about, created by the media!?!?
Fedor is the most humble guy in MMA!!! and also he take a loss like a champion! if he was like dana, he would talk about the bad things in the UFC!!
-bad acting HW champ with a impressive record od 4-1^^
-MW champion comes to dance, and is afraid of good bjj artists
-bad paydays for 90 % of the fighters
-bad contracts for all fighters
-a stupid president without respect for the sport!!!
sorry, but if the UFC wasnt built in the USA a guy like dana white would never be president!! but in the USA they love ppl like dana and don king^^
I believe Fedor, but not his management. He said himself he leaves the negotiations in their hands.
Judging from they choices they have made for him in Strikeforce, they obvious have a power trip and accept no less than doing whatever they want. You see how much trouble it was for SF to even get Fedor in a fight, and how they refused to let him go against Overeem.
I'm truthfully happy it blew up in their face - it sucks for Fedor of course and I have nothing against him - I just hope Fedor wakes up and realizes his management is ruining his legacy!
