Dana White confirms Fan Expo for UFC 120 in London

As was previously rumoured, UFC 120 in London will also host the an official Fan Expo, as officially confirmed today by company President Dana White. This will be the fourth time the organisation has held a Fan Expo, and the first time one has been held outside of America. The First was held prior to UFC 100, to huge success. It offers fans the chance to meet and greet fighters.

Speaking in an official press release, Dana White spoke of his excitement about holding the event in England, scheduled to take place prior to UFC 120, which is set for October 16th:

“I am excited to bring a UFC Fan Expo to our incredible fans in Europe,” said White.  “People have been asking me about an International Expo ever since we held our first one at UFC 100, and now they have it – they’re getting two days of the best fan experience in all of sports, and on top of that an incredible fight card featuring Michael Bisping vs. Akiyama.”

According to UFC, the event promises a variety of attractions:

"The first-ever UFC® Fan ExpoTM  London is expected to attract over 100 leading vendors covering roughly 20,000 gross square meters of space. In addition to training seminars and autograph and Q&A sessions with the world’s best fighters, the UFC® Fan ExpoTM London 2010 will feature a variety of offerings such as apparel, electronic gaming, food & beverages, fight gear, fitness equipment and supplies, nutritional supplements, lifestyle products and much more."

UFC 120 is shaping up to be a decent card so far, as already stated, the Headline will feature homegrown star Michael Bisping in a fight against Yoshihiro Akiyama. So far, the card looks like this:

    * Michael Bisping vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama
    * Dan Hardy vs. Carlos Condit
    * John Hathaway vs. Mike Pyle
    * Cheick Kongo vs. Travis Browne
    * James Wilks vs. Claude Patrick
    * Cyrille Diabaté vs. Alexander Gustafsson
    * Stanislav Nedkov vs. Steve Cantwell

More fights are expected to be announced soon.

    i know its not the greatest card ever, but i always like to see hardy fight, kongo is excitin and hathaway seems like a future force to be reckoned with in the WW division...it doesnt have too many star names but im still excited about it

    I think the supporting fights are all really good its just the main event that is bad

    Being swedish this card has me really exited as Gustafsson is fighting on it. Even though he lost to Phil Davis via submission he looked very impressive as he as striker was able to stop Davis's takedowns.
