Dana White believes retirement is in the cards for Matt Hughes

On Saturday night Matt Hughes lost his second straight fight via first round knockout, falling to Josh Koscheck at UFC 135. Hughes had the advantage early, attacking Koscheck with left jabs, the same punches that Georges St-Pierre used to break Koscheck’s orbital bone at UFC 124 back in December 2010.
As the first round ticked down, Koscheck hurt Hughes, eventually ending the fight via hammerfists with one second remaining in the stanza. Following the fight Hughes said he was not going to retire, instead saying he wanted the UFC to put him on the shelf and see what happens.
At the postfight press conference Dana White addressed the comments Hughes made in the cage, saying “I think he's going to retire. I just don't think Hughes wants to say the word retire, is what I think. There was a lot of talk that this was the last fight of his contract, I don't know if that's true or not because he's a guy I have never worried about last fights or whatever but, I just talked to him out in the hallway and he's going to fly out to Vegas in the next month or so to sit down and talk. But I'm pretty sure he's going to hang it up without saying retiring.” – For more visit MMAMania.com.
What do you think LowKick’ers is it time for Hughes to walk away from the Octagon?

if he retires then good for him hes had a great career and will consider as the second best WW of all time
I dont think he needs to retire just yet. He was doing well on the feet. As a Koscheck fan I was disappointed with the win. Hughes was out striking Kos during the fight. Hughes has one more in him. He needs someone like Diego. A fighter he will lose more then likely via decision (If he loses)
I can see him beating Diego (If its the Dr Evil lookalike Diego Sanchez)
Matt Hughes was winning that round till he got the hammer
Can you name the last guy not named GSP to take down Kos? I didn't think so. There's a reason Hughes didn't try that.
Yeah it was just a terrible style match-up for Hughes.
Sanchez would have been a better style match-up.
If He doesn't retire I'd say the perfect fight for him would be Ellenberger. Power puncher with a good base. Yeah and if he gets knocked out in that one then we'll retire him. I don't understand why they have to throw the old guys to the wolves as soon as they start getting KO'd. it just looks bad to end so many legacies like that.
He has no business fighting guys not in the top 15. At this point in his career he needs to prove that he can still hang in there. He needs to fight guys who are trailing in the top 10. If it shows that he's going downhill then he needs to retire. Not like he can improve much and make a comeback run for the title.
Just thought of the perfect rebound fight for Hughes. Brenneman is ranked high up now. Perfect fight for Hughes stylistically
Matt Hughes was one of the greatest champs in the UFC. If he does retire, I'm gonna miss watching him fight in the octagon.
Hughes vs Shields.
As much as i hate the guys personality. I can't deny he's one of the best of his era and he helped UFC build itself to what it is today. But its a new era of fighters Jon Jones is proof of that. So its probably time for him and a few others to call it quits and retire. Or there is always the idea a friend of mine said after the Hughes fight on Saturday " Maybe UFC should start a seniors league kinda like how golf does it. And let all these older fighters who still got something left to prove fight each other."
My fav ww of all times, it'll suck to see him go but its worse watching him get ko'd all the time ,
hughes VS royce gracie for both their last fight would be great IMO
