Earlier this afternoon the MMA world was abuzz with the news that UFC was working on lining up a light heavyweight title bout between Jon Jones and Rashad Evans for UFC 140, a fight card that is set to take place on December 10 from Toronto, Ontario’s Air Canada Centre.

However, at this time there is one person that is adamant that the fight has not been booked and that it will not be the main event on the card and that person is UFC President Dana White,

White recently took to twitter to offer his take on the reports:

Don't listen to these HACK s**t websites!! Jones vs Evans is not true.

Jones recently defended his title for the first time, submitting Rampage Jackson via rear naked choke in the fourth round of their bout at UFC 135, which took place on September 24.  For his part, Evans is riding a three fight-winning streak since losing the title to Lyoto Machida at UFC 98.

That's disappointing ... this card still needs a main event I do believe, or is Big Nog vs. Mir still relevant enough to be considered a "main event"

I dont know why Canadians dont consider MIr vs Nog to be an adequate main event for UFC 140 I mean look at the rest of the card aswel, its awesome! how much more do they want?

Everyone on this site seems to hate Jonny bones so I'm not surprised. Give the kid a break he just fought 3 times in 7 months. Rashad sat out 16 freaking months and had several opportunities to fight. Now all the sudden you want him to fight again in December. Rashad will no doubt be his biggest test (Jones will win by stoppage in 3rd round) so why cant he get some rest before he starts training. Hate him all you want but this alone is why guys like Dana White run the UFC and make these decisions and WE don't.
