White also talks about the ever-emerging topic of testosterone replacement therapy, and draws comparisons between the drug-testing procedures in mixed martial arts and other major sports leagues.

"My stance on the whole (marijuana) thing is - it's not allowed. You're not allowed to do it, and whatever the commission says you're not allowed to do - you're not allowed to do. It doesn't matter what I think, you think, or anybody else thinks, it's illegal. I'd love to say something right now that makes Nick Diaz free and clear to fight again, but I can't - it's illegal. You can't smoke it. The commission says you can't do it. Those are the f---ing rules!

I think Diaz will be back sooner than most people think. Hes a huge draw right now. I don't see him wasting his best years sitting out side the cage. I see him running things in there for years to come.

Everything is "the most" or "the worst" or "this guys is the biggest f*cking idiot" or "douche" or "****head" or whatever playground insult he can throw in. Not everything is as black and white as his pea brain comprehends.
Well, Nick is insane, so there you go.
Weed can enhance your performance, it just depends on what aspect needs enhancement. What if you're a horribly high-strung guy who, despite all efforts to keep him calm and level-headed during a fight goes berserk and blows his gas tank halfway through the first round from the adrenaline dump, perhaps a drug that is synonymous with "chill out man" might do you some good.
In terms of physical ability, weed has been tested with regards to motor vehicles. The scientists determined it was actually kind of a wash as to whether it would cause wrecks, and in many cases they thought it would prevent it. The reason? Under small quantities of weed, drivers' reflexes are slowed (by an amount comparable to small amounts of alcohol), but they also became more alert and relaxed, allowing them to recognize dangers that the average unobservant driver might miss. Didn't recognize they were setting up that slick submission? Maybe you should've had a joint. Didn't realize they were using a feint to try to bait you into dodging left into their overhand right? Weed might've helped.
It could help, it might not. but the highly overused "in any way shape or form" is simply not applicable here. In any case, Dana White is 100% correct when he say it's against the rules. The commission has a set of rules, the UFC has their own rules, and everyone is expected to abide by them in order to rake in the cash. It's not too much to ask.
But its a rule though, dumb or not you have to follow the rules, if you want to be a fighter. Whats next they allow Heroin, coke, or meth to be in your stystem.
