"GSP's rehab could not be going better," said White. "I kid you not, he texts me every day. Tonight during the fight, he was texting me pictures of him kicking, of him doing things. He says, 'I am praying every night when I go to bed that Nick Diaz wins this fight.' I have never seen Georges St. Pierre ... hate somebody. He hates Nick Diaz. I've never seen him hate somebody. I've never seen him so motivated to fight somebody, and to beat somebody as he is Nick Diaz.

He's ahead of schedule now, being the freak of nature that he is, and the hard worker and dedicated athlete that he is, I think he's going to be back sooner than doctors anticipated."

Ariel Helwani sought clarification. "So perhaps the summer time?"

"Yes" said White

UFC President Dana White (quote via the UG) gave more hope to George St. Pierre's fans, claiming that the French-Canadian could find himself inside the Octagon as early as this summer. In one of his recent interviews, St. Pierre declared that he will return in November, but now it looks like the rehabilitation is going better than expected for the reigning UFC Welterweight Champion. UFC 143 encounter between Nick Diaz and Carlos condit will determine the identity of Interim UFC Welterweight Champion, after St. Pierre was forced to pull out of the card due to a torn ACL in his right knee.

That's good that he had that hatred inside of him. Maybe he can finish someone again at some point in his hall of fame career.

I really want to see him fight as soon as possible but he must take some time training at full intensity before coming back. He has to make sure is cardio, physical abilities and his cleverness are 110% back.

This really isnt necessary Dana. We know GSP will fight again. If he rushes his healing it will be his own downfall.

This kind of self revealing info doesn't likely go well here but I'm going to try it anyway. I ran 6 half marathons in 2011 including 2 in one day (2 legs of The Candadian Death Race relay). The plan was to return this year and run the full 77 miles (125 km) solo.

In Sept my testicular cancer came back and I had the sh*t kicked out of my by 3 mths of chemotherapy. Last week I got the go ahead to start running again. I walked four days last week and ran 9 miles this week including 4 miles today. It was very tough. I'm still weak.

I will gain inspiration from GSP and still plan to run the Canadian Death Race at the end of July. 24 hour time limit. 77 miles. 5 aid stations. 17,000 feet of elevation change. If you've got the balls (you only need one) I'll see you there. Canadiandeathrace.com

I'de love to Bruce, but I would probably get fired from my job and we have no altitude here, I would die right there.

Bruce that is so great and I'm glad to hear that your recovering well. BUT buddy for god sake DON'T complete in anything that has DEATH in it as a title. I mean seriously Canadian Survival race, Canadian Extreme Race, Canadian 24 Hour Challenge sound challenging but Canadian DEATH RACE I feel like it's a movie in the 80's staring Arnold Swazenegeratdlkernwrtsdjkrejrsraesweert. BUT glad your doing great!

I don't think he really hates Nick Diaz. I think he's gotten a lot of flack for being safe and not finishing many fights while Diaz is the polar opposite. GSP has something to prove and that is what we all wanted to see, so it's good. Good luck to both of them, if Nick beats Condit I really think it's a great matchup that will make GSP very very f*cking nervous come fight time... Don't forget, he's the champ and poster boy.
