UFC President Dana White looked back at UFC's return to Brazil, and Anderson Silva's performance in the main event of the night. Once again, White expressed his amazement with Anderson Silva's performance, labeling "The Spider" as the best fighter in the history of Mixed Martial Arts. Still, White cemented his recent comments that Anderson Silva will not be a part of UFC's debut on FOX.

UFC President also shared thoughts about Mauricio Rua and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, who were victorious in their return to the Octagon.

Ultimate Fighting Championship will return on September 17th with Jake Shields vs. Jake Ellenberger, which will serve as a headliner for UFC Fight Night 25: Battle on the Bayou at the Ernest N. Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Seriously - and if you don't believe this you are delusional by the way - NO ONE in the middleweight division can beat Anderson except possibly the 'S' word Sonnen. Yushin looked TERRIBLE in that fight - just as Chael said if you don't take the fight to Anderson and stand on the outside you will eat his rangy punches and wild strikes and it was exactly what happened. Everyone who enters the octagon with Anderson is scared and they have lost before the fight has started.

Yushin wasnt scared at first... but once he ate that first big jab after the clench up against the fence, u could tell he couldnt think clearly anymore and his gameplan went out the window.

As far as Chael goes if Andersons statement about beeing injured going in to that fight are true then i dont see chael ever beating him. But Brian Stann is a different story that guy is a beast and he wont be scared of Anderson for sure, either way Anderson should change weightclass or do some super fights this is getting boring!

Helwani must feel sick because he is a Fedor fanboy. Chael has no chance to ever beat Anderson again. The spider should retire because he has NOTHING left to prove at all...

AS will crush Stann. Moots should have stopped after the statement that no one at MW can beat AS. Truthfully, I don't think anyone at any wt class has more than a 5% chance of beating him. That goes for HW too. Forest Griffen could easily fight at HW and would probably do better than he does at LHW and AS ended him with a jab. The only way Silva loses at HW is if he gets smothered on the ground and there aren't too many guys fast enough to complete a TD on him at that wt. By the time they are at toe (HTK) he is on the other side of the cage.

Brian Stan has no shot, plain and simple. Also, as for Chael Sonnen and Dan Henderson, Chael Sonnen will simply get embarrassed and we will get the same result if he fights Dan Henderson again. If, for some strange reason, any of you still think that a "Clean" Chael can hold A.S down like he did in their first fight, you are sadly mistaken.

Whether you like him or not, Anderson Silva is the G.O.A.T.

Clean Sonnen can and will hold Silva down. And if anyone thinks Chael will get embarrassed...well they are tip riding way too hard. Chael isnt going to stand there and be mesmerized by Silva's movement. As soon as Silva drops those hands he will get punched in the face and pushed to the cage where he will get taken down. If Sonnen loses the fight, its from a flash KO where he was closing the distance and gets caught. Henderson on the other hand, I think he will rely on that overhand right a little too much and get picked apart, but heck maybe he fights smart and does GnP, Hendo has a shot with a smart gameplan.

If a clean Chael could do all of what you said, why did he feel the need to JUICE UP in the first place? You are contstantly taking up for this fool who accomplished nothing but an ALMOST victory, but you're the one accusing people of being tip riders........STOP IT!!!!!!!

My comment had no bias in it. I did not talk Sonnen up, all I said is that hes able to take Silva down and hold him there because thats what excellent wrestling gets you. Its idiots like you who just weak comments that remotely defend Sonnen. I defend Sonnen because everyone loves to lick Silva's balls and talk him up to be so perfect and untouchable. I know Sonnen can lose, and I dont talk about him like hes Silva with wrestling. Hes a different type of fighter then Silva. Nothing flashy, just gritty grinding work. Get off my back Hateocracy

Anderson threw up a last chance triangle in desperation and he got lucky .. Anybody that ACTUALLY watched the fight saw Anderson get his ass whipped.

Not just 1 or 2 rounds either ... dominated from the word go.

If Anderson isnt too scared and hides from Sonnen like he did the first time (thats a fact) .. He will get his ass handed to him.

sonnen does have a chance hes got the gameplan to win and i wudnt wanna see hendo fight silva personally unless it was at LH but id rather hendo fight for the 205 belt first makes the most sense

StaNn will be done within 2 rounds. I like stann but I see another stann bandwagon rolling and I'm not on it. Peope just can't see how good anderson is, his striking is just unique, the ankles, the variety, thw different ways he can win. People say anderson is over rated but they are so dillusional. This Is not a ufc manufactured brock whose fights are picked and when he meets a true fighter he gets destroyed. Anderson is one of the best fighters us mma fans will ever see.

Im so freakin tired of hearing Anderson is the best fighter in the world. It seems like everyone is naive enough to buy into what comes out of Dana Whites crap-hole of a mouth.

Dana has interests, it is in his complete favor to call a fighter that works for him, the best fighter in the world. He and all the idiots on this site and many others who buy into his shit seem to be completely ignorant to the fact that Anderson is always taller and has a huge reach advantage when he fights the guys at middleweight(Did anyone see Okami compared to AS?). Anderson knows that and thats the only reason why he stays there, he is way to big to be in middleweight IMO! Dude walks around over 220 normally, its pathetic to call a guy that beats up smaller guys the "best in the world". If anderson was a true champ with dignity he would have mentioned his very apparent advantage in reach in every fight and made plans to move to a bigger weight class but noooo, he's a ****ing snake in the grass and I for one hate his guts for it.

Another thing, before anyone calls anyone the best in the entire world, they should look beyond the UFC and Dana "the preacher for idiots" White. Just because most countries dont have an mma organisation doesnt mean that they dont have any good fighters. It is completely DUMB to assume that if they arent in the UFC then they're just not at that top level. In my mind the UFC is scouting and hiring .003 percent of the talent that exists in this huge world, theres no way they can be everywhere at the same time.

Hopefully with the ufc growing, more real talent can be discovered and we'll see some real fighting.

i totally agree with you. you cant be called the best fighter ever if you fight on the worst weight class!! you cant be the best fighter ever if you have wins over guys like okami, maia, leites, cote, james irwin, lutter, leben.even rich franklin isnt that of a great fighter. he was the champion when there was no one on the ufc. after silva camed his record is something like 6-6. that isnt that great. the only legends he has ever fought is hendo that came after losing to rampage (and he didnt have the balls on fighting him on 205) and belfort that fought after 17 months of not fighting.

the guy is great but you cant compare his 5 fight winning streak with the 26 fight winning streak of fedor.

dana white always talks bullshit for selling his fights. what he says about okami being the greatest fighter to ever come of japan is like when he said that chuck will destroy everyone at pride or when couture will destroy fedor. he is a bullshit seller. he put a terrible main event on this card. okami dont have a champion level. imagine him on a champion press conference with gsp, cain, jon jones, edgar, aldo. he will be a joke. dana did the same to sell the fight between gsp and shields. im sure that if bisping goes for a title shot dana will say hes the better european fighter of all time. anderson should go to 205 where is still one of the bigger guys and have the guts on fighting someone like a 205 hendo, shogun, rashad or jon jones. he has destroyed every bullshit opponent they put him and he still doesnt want to fight a great 205 fighter. he went up to fight james irwin!!!! that will be like if gsp goes up and fights someone like than miller. they will say gsp is a coward. that shows tha silva is scared on fighting on 205. for me silva is a monster fighter but you cant be called the best ever if you havent defeat at least a couple of really big legends at their best moment

Then who is the best fighter in the world? I notice you conveniently avoided mentioning that. I hate the man Anderson Silva but there is no denying that he is in a league of his own in terms of combining the ability to win with pure ballet-ninjitsu-breakdancing magic. I do think Chael is going to beat him in the rematch but that's only a clash of styles that doesn't work out for Silva, he's a far better fighter than Chael in general.

nowadays he is the best p4p fighter in the world. what im saying is that he isnt the best of all time. maybe he is the most espectacular fighter of all time but that doesnt mean he has better results than fedor. no one has done what fedor did on his 26 fight winning streak. he fought with guys that were considered top 5 p4p at the moment. silva never fought a top 5 p4p or even a top 10.

dana is just talking bullshit!! he thinks everything on the ufc is better. he will probably say that minotauros performance was better than the ones on pride and that schaub was his tougher opponent.

    the guy is just ridiculous

Sure Silva is great , but Dana just go bananas because he beat Okami?

everyone should had see that coming , Okami never had a chance

its not that big of a win vs Okami to be calling Silva the Greatest of all time that's just overhype! yes he may be the best Middleweight so far but damn don't exaggerate and be realistic

yesterdays win was predictable meaning there was little challenge

    and almost a secure win.

anybody who says fedor is better than silva or says he is the best of all time should be shot..fedor fought third string fighters most of his career...he lived by fighting cans and when he finally fought some guys that are average he was destroyed 3x in a row...silva has to beat chael which he will injury free, the only guys in the world that can even give AS a fight are other champions in the ufc in which all would be beaten in my opinion. best shot at beating silva cain.

Okami's strategy made no sense. Okami knew better than to fight Anderson this way. Everybody is up in arms about Anderson being the best in the world, but guys are not even fighting him! They are just standing in front of him while he decides how he feels like destroying them that night. It's like f*cking target practice. The only guy that really fought that f*cker was Chael and Anderson made it through that by the skin of his teeth. Chael had Anderson trying to figure out how to respond to him. Anderson was preoccupied trying to keep Chael from getting to him. You cannot let Andreson play his game. Okami knew this sh*t! Weird...maybe he got paid.

Silva is proven to be the best but he is human, and will eventually fall, maybe in the LHW division if that happens. Sonnen or Hendo could possibly beat him but I see no other MW that has a real chance.

I think we will seat here and we will discuss if he is or si not the best ever forever as we just to discuss if Fedor was, IMO Fedor is the best ever, then GSP and then Anderson Silva.

Silva is LHW and fights at MW, he did beat Forrest but I wonder how he would do against the top 5 in the LHW division.

Is idiotic to believe he is the best ever because he beat Okami, Okami maybe top 10 in the division but he was not the top contender I mean he pile up a bunch of wins against nobody and a split decision against Mark Muñoz and another boring decision against Nate Marquardt. Dana was planning to make this statement since he started calling Okami the best fighter to come out of Japan but when describing his best skill the only thing he could come up with was "oh he is really strong". Once again Dana is trying to brain wash us, I think if he would start saying he is not best ever people would start thinking that he is...

I watched the fight and it seemed that Okami was so afraid of doing anything. Okami is nobody! How could he even got the title shot? Telling that AS is the best ever is a total crap. I like AS, I think he is the best in his division and he can do a lot more at 205, but I can admit that he has been beating nobodies. Excep Rich Franklin, Vitor, Hendo and juiced Sonnen, he beat nobodies. I don't even know what all those guys like Mia, Cote and etc accomplished. Middleweight division is the worst in the UFC. DW is full of crap when he tells that. I understand that he needs to promote the fight and all those media attention shit, but telling that Okami is the greatest fighter coming from Japan is just none sense coming from the President of the largest MMA organization. What about Sakuraba or even Fujita.

I don't hear any crap like that from other organizations like NBA or NHL. The UFC is the largest MMA organization and you can compare it to NBA or NHL at its own level, but DW acts like he is running some backyard show with the street fighters. I don't give DW any credit for the UFC development, with the Fertittas finance, Scott Cocker could do so much better job.

If Silva wants to be the greatest of all time, move up to LHW fight guys who are as big or bigger consistently and put on a streak like fedor did. he is most certainly the greatest MW of all time and probably has the best stand up in MMA. But when you beating up on overrated smaller guys most of your career it gonna take the edge off your achievements just a little. Now if he went to 205 and put away Machida, Rua, Ramps, Jones and a few others I would have to seriously consider him as the GOAT, but I think he would lose more than once at LHW if he was consistently fighting the best.
