Dan Henderson: I prefer to fight Fedor at Heavyweight, not Catchweight

The fight being at a catch weight or heavy weight won't really make any difference.



Realistically these two are about the same size, except Dan doesn't carry aroud the pudge. Now typically extra weight is an advantage but Fedor has never been the kind of fighter that used size to win fights (usually because he was smaller) ...



In this case I would expect dan to weigh in around 210 and Fedor around 230 as per usual.

someone should mention that fedor doesnt deserve to have a lightheavyweight title match after 2 straight losses, it doesnt make any sense and is unfair to the other fighters.

Yeah it's a really stupid issue to consider whether it'll be at "heavyweight" or a "catchweight", when 220 is considered heavyweight anyway, not to mention the fact that Fedor has been slimming down lately, based on all the newest pics i've seen. Losing ten pounds of fat and just walking in his natural weight, at 220 or so, could still be considered a heavyweight fight. A dime plus this gives you ten cents.

Sounds to me that Dan wants the fight at HW because it wold be a good fight to have on his resume if he ever wanted a HW title fight.

Fedor should fight at 205,this would be a great way of reinventing himself and its not like the cut would be that bad considering he lose a few pounds away

I'd rather see this superfight at 205 lbs because it would be more super being for the Strikeforce LHW Championship Title.

I hope Fedor wins this one, not cause im a fan of him, cause im really not. I just dont want him to retire before seeing him get a chance to prove himself in the UFC. Pride was good but as for him in Strikeforce he's had way to many easy fights and gets to much credit for them. As if he's some MMA GOD. I wanna see him fight some real comp. Hopefully he does

it's to late for him to try n prove himself against the top competition now. 2 years ago I would have loved for him to fight in the UFC. he needs to cut down to 205 and see how he does against some top flight fighters and I think Hendo's perfect. even at HW it'll be real small HW's so if he does good against a fighter his own sized then he'll know the permanent move to 205 is good and we'll all see if he's really still got it or not. I'm not sure he's at the point in his career though where even a move to 205 will help with all the proven young all around fighters coming into the game.

This will be an awesome fight and I will watch it but it isn't the fight I want to see Fedor in. If Fedor is going down to 205 then it is great but if he is staying at HW I would rather see him against Shane Del Rosario.
