Dan Henderson: I prefer to fight Fedor at Heavyweight, not CatchweightPosted on April 14, 2011, 04:52 AM by Anton Gurevich
Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Dan "Hendo" Henderson dismissed the talk about a possible 220lbs Catchweight fight against Fedor Emelianenko, stating that he'd rather face "The Last Emperor" at Heavyweight. Dan Henderson is currently 2-1 in his Strikeforce campaign, with convincing victories over Babalu Sobral and Feijao Cavalcante.
As for Fedor Emelianenko, the Russian icon is looking to recover from two back to back losses against Fabricio Werdum and Antonio Silva. Fedor's official MMA record currently stands at 31-3.Fedor Emelianenko is currently finishing his training camp in Holland, where he trained with some of the best martial arts talent the country has to offer.
The fight against Dan Henderson is currently labeled as "in works" by both Strikeforce and M-1 Global, and is expected to become official for sometime this Summer.
