Vera should win this fight. He should win every fight he has because he is extremely talented. That being said, he doesn't. I don't think that Vera has the mental strength necessary to be great. I think Bones wins this.
I can't say I am 100% sure Jones will be able to take this fight but honestly until he loses I will never bet against him. If he was fighting Machida in this fight I'd still bet on Jones.
why oh why is everyone underestimating Vera now, they either have short memories or are new fans to the sport, i mean i know Bones is a dangerous fighter who's looked good against who he's fought, but that's just it, who has he fought? the only two fighters of any relevance he has beaten i.e. Hamill and Bonnar are not elite level and are not really highly regarded in the LHW division, there's a lot of unknowns about Bones that will be answered in this fight but personally, i'm going with the battle tested, proven Brandon Vera who imo is better all around, better jits and imo better striking. I like both guys but i'll take Vera every time in this match up, i don't think Jones is ready for what Vera has for him, but we'll see, anything can happen right?....

i think vera has the edge over jones.
he has more experience and is pissed off from his last fight. so hes coming in very hungry and hes gonna look for the finish this time around.
