Daily Poll March 22nd: Who should be Jon Jones' next opponent?

I would like to see him fight Bader. He has shown that he is a serious competitor in the LHW division. So I say give him a fight against a top opponent.

in my opinion he has two more fights to go before a title shot.....

he did an awsome job lastnite, he is the future UFC LHW champion, there's no doubt about it...

it should be thiago silva hes top 10!

because he wont fight rashad they are training partners!

People keep saying Jones isnt ready for every oppenent he has and he smashes them, Let him fight Lil Nog, Silva, Bader, Griffen. No one has slowed him down yet he's ready for the middle of the top 10.

i think he should fight lil nog, whether he loses or wins cause nog is a great boxer and one of the best lhw bjj's. It would be interesting to see how he does when nog is tryin to sub him from his back

It's too soon for Bader... there 2 young talents that needs a big build up... There the future... But I think a match against randy couture or Franklin will. It would be a good warm up for the more serious fights

Jones looked awesome last night. He's the real deal and comes to fight. I was kinda hoping they would scuffle more during the weigh in's.

He is a teammate of Evans so that fight probably won't happen at all. I don't think he would be able to throw Rampage around like that at all. Rampage is much stronger than most of the other guys that Jones has faced.



Put Jones up against Silva, Couture or Lil Nog. I'd like to see Lil Nog the most.

He would destroy mostly everybody on the list little doubt IMO. He should get the winner of Shogun/Machida 2. Anybody else they make him fight is a waste of time. He walked through Vera, Hamill, Bonnar, all his opponents like they were little kids. IMO hes ready for the title now.

It's too early for him to get a title fight . He needs two more good fights, then he should get the title shot. He is ONLY 22 years old so he has a lot of time to grow and get better.

its not even about getting better. shit, if he fights for the title now, he would hang with the champ. but its not about his ability, no one is doubting that. its about money and you can make this kid a main event or co-main event and build his hype up so much more. remember, dana white is a promoter for a business. UFC is business just like everything else.

Bader has to be his next test.

i actually think they want to build them both before they waste 2 up and coming prospects against each other. i think he should fight Tsilva while bader fights the winner of lil nog/griffin

should be couture/frankiln or the Bader. He proved that he belongs in the elite category of the UFC LHW division, but put him against the winner of RAmpage/Rashad is toooooo big of a leap over everyone else. Remember he is only 22 years old. He has at least 10 years of fighting left.

T Silvas a good one. The winner of Griff vs Nog i.e Nog would be good but very risky for Jones. Still can't get over that elbow. Awesome distance and swing on it unlike the usual short drubbing elbows. Marvellous eh chaps?

The hype is not even a worry... Jon Jones is a different kind of young kid, we seen him "slip" @ the weigh ins I didn't think that was anything to be honest... But some people thought he lost his cool the thing is for as good as he is at his age he's not ****y in the least bit he's showed that he's 1 of the most humble fighters in the game rite now.,. Brandon Vera heard the hype and ran with it rite to the L column the difference is tho thats the type of Vera is after his 1rst fight he was callin out Liddell... Jon Jones even when he's the champion won't consider himself the best thats the type he is you kno wat I mean? the hype isn't even going into Jones head...

thiago isnt really good on the ground, rashad dominated thiago on the ground and jones is a way better wrestler than rashad

Rashad is his teammate,but Jones would break Rashard's glass chin anyway... Rampage is to much of a risk because of his power. The UFC still wants to build him up so.. I see him facing either thiago silva, luis cane, or someone in the mid level of the LHW rankings

He will crush most guys at 205 without a doubt. He is the only guy at 205, that I honestly feel has the potential to hang with Anderson Silva. Dana should be very smart in how he handles Jones. This kid should be training with the best coaches and competition available. He has incredible athletic ability and power. A little time dedicated to mastering technique and the mental aspects of mma will turn this kid into a true champion.

I honestly don't know, I all I'll say is that I hope he fights again soon, within 3 months time and most of those mentioned above would be good fights. Personally thou I don't think Bader or Cane should be ranked around the same as Jones right now. With this Jones really moves into the top 10 LHW

Bader would be fair, that's an appropriate match-up for Jones' experience level. And, as much as I like Bader, Jones would do exactly what he did to Hammil.

I think Bader needs to fight a veteran higher ranked opponent and Jones needs to keep fightin higher ranked opponents Bader is definately ranked below him since he has less fights in the UFC Jones needs to step up not down, Bader will be joining him around the top soon tho then they can fight

Bader did knock Jardine out in Sydney. I think he deserves to move up as well. I think he would smash Vera as well. I just think Jones Bader would be a great fight, a great match up.
