I think too much has transpired and if it was going to happen, it would have by now. There is always a faint hope that we'll see it, and I hope I'm dead wrong, but it is not looking too likely that it will ever happen. I think the UFC and Fedor are at a stalemate and there is a lot more behind this than meets the eye. I'd love to eat my words on this one......

No. We will never see him fight the top competition. He is thinking about retiring instead of fighting Overeem.

We might see him fight Kimbo, or Tank Aboot, or maybe even grandpa Royce Gracie or something. But when he retires he will still be undefeated, him and his management will make sure of that. Fighting in the UFC is simply something he cannot do if he wants to remain undefeated.

Anyone who suggests that he could sweep the top of the HW UFC division, is smoking a lot of crack cocaine.

Fedor doesn't want to fight in the UFC because he wants to go out with no loses. If fought in the UFC he would lose. Here is a short list of fighters who would beat him: Brock Lesnar, Shane Carwin, Cain Valasqez, Junior Dos Santos, Antonio Rodrigo Nogeira, Frank Mir, and Randy Couture. Oh and don't forget his potential to lose to the currentl SF Heavyweight Champ!!!

fedor's already dominated big nog twice. he has a better ground game than mir, and better stand up. JDS has terrible stand up defence, and couture? not in a million years. Cain's wrestling would give him a great chance. Lesnars weight would mean he could lay on top of him quite easily, and Carwin prob could KO him.

that said, i am a fan of JDS, Cain, Couture and Carwin, just pointing out facts.

He did beat big Nog twice, but big Nog has gotten ten times better. I done know about him being better than Mir on the ground, that might be close. JDS might have a chance if he were to press the striking, and I am not a fan of it. Randy can always use his strategy of pushing him up against the cage and using dirty boxing controlling the fight. Cain's wrestling mixed with his striking can win the fight. Lesnar and Carwin have the wrestling and power to take the fight where they want and smash his face. Overeem might finish him off before he even gets a chance think about coming to the UFC!!!!!

Dude you got to get off Fedor's ****. He hasn't beat anyone who was at their best since he was in pride, and Big Nog wasn't one of them. Since coming to the UFC he has got ten times better. All the fighters he beat in the last 2 1/2 years have been UFC rejects past there prime. Two of them, he barely made it out. He is not the best in the world. Brock isn't the best either, but if it was him instead Roger's no one would be talking about Fedor anymore. Overeem took a fight Fedor made look like a disaster, look like a walk in the park

Well, once Fedor cleans out SF we will see. If he does so he really has no other place to go but to the UFC. I hope he does but as of right now the hope is very slim

He could always fight in Dream. Alistair called him out on K1 as well but I doubt Fedor would bang in the kickboxing world. But there are some Dream matchups that M1 would consider taking in order to keep Fedor's streak going.

His chance to join the UFC has been and gone, he chose not to take the opportunity, opting instead to go to SF where he can do what the hell he likes and fight when he wants. He wont be able to maintain his P4P status for much longer fighting for SF and only fighting maybe twice a year like he has been. The fact of the matter is, he can't really be considered the best p4p HW out there untill he's beaten some PROPER HW contenders, but it just so happens, suprise suprise, that most of them fight for the UFC, where Fedor doesn't want to go, fighters like, Lesnar, Carwin, JDS and even Frank Mir, any of them would give Fedor a REAL fight. It's more than coincidence. If Fedor doesn't make the switch soon it will be too late for sure, i don't think he will though, i think he's happy beating second rate on their way down HW's in SF, i even think they will struggle getting him to agree to fight Overeem but i hope he does as i think Overeem could beat him......

Get rid of Dana White and M-1 and you will see Fedor in UFC. That won'y happen until Fedor is 200yrs. old.

This is officially my last reply in a Fedor article unless it says "Signed with the UFC" in the headlines. Or Fedor loses in Strikeforce.

Overeem wipeout the UFC? Are you really a fan of MMA? If Overeem was going to to do that he would already done it. That's right, he lost to Liddell, Lil Nog twice, Shogun twice, and Werdum!!! You expect him to run through Lesnar and Carwin. You're CRAZY!!!!

At the end of the day the only argument either side can have is based on speculation. Until the day Fedor fights some fighters in the UFC, will know if he gets stopped or if he dominates. Personally, I think Fedor is a beast but its an obvious fact that that the UFC offers the best fighters compared to other organizations. To be considered the best you have to compete and beat the best. Until that day comes he and his legacy is going to be questioned like it or not.

Fedor's record was from a different erra, it is like saying Muhammed Ali is the best P4P HW boxer in the world at this moment. Sure, he may have bean but is no longer.

Fedora likes leftovers and werdum is one of them. no one should be in the top 10 rankings unless they beat top fighters not bums.
