He didn't get dominated at all, maybe when he was mounted, but he survived it. A doctor stoppage is hardly getting dominated. 2nd round was rough, but nobody knows what would have happened in the third. Fedor has always been great at adjusting on the fly, and I am guessing the third round may have shown that.
Fedor was dominated in the 2nd round, but he did not quit and stayed tough. I don't think that Fedor would take the 3rd round since he took so much beating. If it was 5 years ago, I would say "Yes, he would come back in the 3rd round". The only solution I can see in the 3rd round is that Silva was so tired at the end of the 2nd round, he stopped hitting Fedor, so he could have problems in the 3rd and Fedor would just do the same as Brock did to Carwin.
It was prossible that Big Foot was gassed, when they told him he won the fight he was hanging off the fence he looked not totally but somewhat gassed, but at the same time Fedor had basically one eye so who knows how it wouldve gone done.
Now suddenly there are double standards for domination? I like how GSP can sit on a guy and it doesn't even get stopped, but that's domination. Meanwhile Fedor gets sat on and beatup...but that's NOT domination?
Buy these kids a dictionary, the excuses are making me sick.
I think Fedor has never cut weight before. Cutting weight affects the fighter more or less depending on the person. Is Fedor really wanting to change his work ethic?
That's true. Mir, Brock, Overeem would not take it at all.
Cain - probably, but he still has a lot of years to prove that. We did not see if he really can take the punishment and come back. The same is for JDS.
Big Nog from Pride days can take it and come back, but not today's Big Nog.
That's why I would say that Fedor might retire and I thank him for all those great fights, but if not, he is still has some reserves to go on fighting. I would bet that all current HWs and DW looking at him taking punishment and willing to fight, don't really want to fight him because they know they would not finish him and he just would keep fighting. Of course, they would not admit it. Fedor needs to change his training methods, get some new tricks and strategies and come back. Maybe, he does not need to finish every fight with a knockout, but we a decision. If he fights with Arlovski like fighters than two-three punches would be enough to finish, but if BigFoot, than go for a decision.
In the context of a single round(s) Fedor got dominated in the second round. First round was evenly matched, judges had the first round split but two gave it to Fedor. Anderson got dominated for four and a half rounds but found a way to win. The doctor stoppage was good.

everybody keeps saying fedor got dominating. But he won the first round, lost the second obviously, but that doesnt mean he got dominated

Fedor did not win the first round. He got beat up in the first round and in the second he got beat down.
Actually 2 judges gave Fedor the 2st round. \one judge gave Silva a 10-8 in the 2nd round.

In other words I agree....

i agree with you Nemesis.
It'd just feel strange to see Fedor looking lean and toned at 205..

He doesn't look so "crazy"
Why is everyone defending fedor? Is pretty clear he got dominated!!
Thank you!!!! whether he grind it out and survived or not... he was dominated after round 1.. period!
Yes, he got destroyed.
true true. people can't handle the truth. People still see him as he was in Pride. But those day are over.

Does anyone know if Fedor tried to fight the Doctor, telling him I want to fight, i want to continue?
And Bam you seem angry.
what makes you think he wanted to fight in the third round? to me it looked like he had no problem with the stoppage at all.
Bob Cook you're crazyyyyyy
jesus you are retarded
get off fedors nuts
