Vera definately made it clear he knows Jon Jones isn't a joke, and he does show respect toward "Mr.Jones" But in the beginning of the video I was getting the impression that Vera is a little jealous of all the hype Bones is getting, just the way he said some things it made him sound a little envious, Jon Jones is my 2nd favorite fighter behind only Anderson Silva, but Vera has always been a favorite of mine I kan't wait to see this fight after watching this video I really got hyped up for it... I want Jones to win without a doubt but I really hope Vera can put some pressure on him and land some heavy shots the only real questions I've had for Jones is can he battle through adversity or would he break if he wasn't totally owning a fight and the other was how good is his chin I think Vera is the perfect person to test both, expect a war!!
True he can fight. He will have to be careful with Vera though. That guy has some mean knees. If he can get Bones in the clinch it is over. I think however striking Bones has the clear advantage. He is lightning fast and sniper accurate.
Vera ain't no walk in the park but the question is in the clinch can he handle or defend the greco roman that bones has in his arsenal. I bet Vera is counting on it going to the ground.
Props to Vera. I always considered him to be a bit of a ****y fellow. Seems very humble, and has respect for his fellow fighters. Dont get me wrong, I am a Bones fan all the way. After his Bonnar fight I considered him to be my new favorite fighter to follow, I thought for sure he would be the champ someday soon. I was telling my fellow fighting fans about him, and they were all saying "Who is Jones?". Anyways, this will definitely be a tough go for Bones, but I think he will come out on top.
I been talkin aBout Bones since I seen his 1rst fight in da UFC and all my boysstil havn't seen him except for highlight shit they're waiting to see his 1rst full fight and vs Vera is perfect to show if he's fo real or not... I personally believe he's the future of the sport and is ready now for big names give him 2 or 3 big names and let him go for the Gold... Jones needs to use his reach against Vera and just try n pick him apart easier said then done Vera is a great striker... about Jones being done if Vera gets the clinch don't think so, jones is no clinch rookie he'll use a trip or throw before Vera can get knees going...

you're not going to see Bones off his back this fight Vera didnt say he wants to take people down to submit them he said if people take him down he'll submit them, not 2 mention I'd hafta say Jones wrestling is above Vera's have you seen the takedowns from Jones, Hammil may not be fast but he's definately a good wrestler and Jones made him look like a child... and who didn't see Jones ground game? I seen him trip some1 get into mount and land 10 punches and 15 elbows before the clock ticked 1 second lol (exageration) but seriously he's nasty
I'm pulling for The Truth in this one. I like Vera and a win against Jones will charge his confidence. I like Jones too but like they said in the vid, if he loses, it's far from the end of the road for him. He's young and has a big career ahead of him. Fists and elbows and knees will be flying like gang busters in this bout.
Between Vera and Jones, you can tell who is confident and who has doubts based on the two interviews. Listen closely to how differently the two answer the questions given to them. Both great fighters and both probably the two realest and humblest fighters in the UFC.
