people complaining need to stop looking at fights like its wrestling.
Siver won that fight. Not only clear when seeing the fight.....compustrike even shows Siver outstruck Wiman and stuffed most of the takedown attempts.
Yup! Siver won that handily. The crowd at the event were all idiots. I mean the fact Justin Bieber picked Wiman should tell all these "Wiman won" kids that they are dead wrong, and need to brush up on their mma knowledge.
He landed more "non-power strikes" than Wiman, and Wiman had the advantage in everythinh else. You are only looking at one stat. The majority of Siver's strikes were jabs and karate-style kicks with no real weight behind them.
okay.....Meanwhile Wiman is holding onto Siver's legs for dear life not doing anything. Wiman's only advantage was that he was able to push Siver to the cage and hold on to his legs.....And you do know jabs/karate style kicks are in the effective striking department right?
Kind of like a takedown where you do no dmg right Mousasi?
Good points pro but a lot of people say this fight was judged differently from most fights they see but in a good way. For me watching it I judged it and expected Siver to get the outcome relying onnormal MMA judging and I got it right.
Anyone who thinks it was anything but 29-28 for Siver really needs to wtahc the fight again, multiple times.
debate over siver clearly won which evident in the stats
he lost the fight. he got out struck in power shots and was put on his back in rds two and three. two should have been a 10-8 and three 10-9. power shots are all that matters when the strikes siver landed were equivalent to a child's.
One of the stranger "upsets" I have ever seen, Siver clearly won the fight there isn't even a question.
It seemed Joe Rogan thought that it was a bad decision. Does he need to brush up on his mma knowledge?
Siver may have won but Wiman looked really good loosing.
wiman won
Looks like lots of people got caught up with the work Wiman did in round 2.
16 takedown attempts & only 5 successful lmao!
In a wrestling match, that will get the win for you 9 times out of 10. Why should you be penalized for a failed td attempt?
That's like penalizing someone for a strike that does not land... and in that case, Dominick Cruz would lose every decision he has been in since he "only" lands about 40% of the 200+ strikes he throws each fight... meaning he fails to land over 100 strikes.
Most of those strikes are probably just setups for his real strikes though...
he throws a lot of fakes which wins him a lot of the striking exchanges.
But c'mon having 11 takedowns defended out of 16 & outstriking Wiman for most of the fight should give him the W, 29-28 Siver.
In what sport does defending something score you points? None.
It shouldn't in MMA either. If you defend a takedown and then punch the guy in the face, the punch should score points. Simply defending the takedown on it's own is exactly that: defense. It does not score.
Siver won and thats all. Dismiss!
This changed my mind on the whole thing.
I thought Siver lost at first but now it is clear that he won fair and square
Wiman won round 2 with control and gnp 3+ min on top.
Siver won but the judge that called it 30-27 was wrong.
whos face was more smashed?
This is why we have what's called a "scoring" system rather than a "face busted up" system. Give our regards to Cecil Peoples on your way out.
dana withe say this joe rogen say that !!?? fact siver won!!
siver won no questionm and wiman is a bad looser!!
Can we just call it a draw?? IMO neither did any thing to really win the fight.
Siver won, Winemann's a bitch
