According to CompuStrike, and despite what so many people say, Tito Ortiz has an equal chance against Suga Rashad Evans tonight at UFC 133.

CompuStrike statistics reveal that Ortiz's main strength will be on the ground, where he's much more aggressive than Evans. Ortiz landed twice as much strikes, and attempted 4 submissions (over the last 15 fights). However, Rashad Evans is more effective with his takedowns, and is much better in getting himself into dominant position. Striking is all Evans; "Suga" thrown 63 arm strikes, landing 22 (12 Power strikes), comparing to Ortiz''s 11 out of 33 (6 power strikes).

Here's some of the key facts. For more, please visit CompuStrike.com.

Evans was successful on 44 of 68 takedown attempts (65%- an average of 6 td attempts per fight)

Ortiz's is on the feet slightly more than on the ground. Standing: 93:42 - Ground: 87:14

Ortiz's opponents were successful on 13 of 21 takedown attempts (62%- Hamill was 3 of 3 vs. Ortiz.  Hamill was 0 for 16 vs. Rampage)

"Over Tito Ortiz last 15 fights" = over the last 10 years.

That means at least half of these stats are from too long ago too have any relevance whatsoever. You are counting fights when Tito used to take guys down and beat the hell out of them on the ground for 3 rounds. He hasn't done that in a long time, so these stats are extremely misleading.
